This is very true. I returned a pair of pants to "BOBS" and was given a $50 gift card instead of cash back.
The "BOBS" in my area has closed. So where is my $50? It's been a while since i've returned the clothes, and i still have the gift card. Is it still good?
Basically... just give us our money back and stop holding it hostage.
Thats all nice and i agree but it will still happen i'm sure.
The gamer is the viewer/player while the suits are the drug dealer.
They rule from the top, and we at the bottom, despite statements like yours that i completely agree with, will sit there and take it. No matter how much we disagree with it, they will force their buisness model on us because they are the TOP and we are teh bottom....
So i can hold a protest on my front lawn and no where else because i dont controll any property other than that?
It kind of defeats the whole idea of a protest when you need a permit, doesnt it?
I understand the balance between interfering with traffic and other citizens... but really a protest is all about interfering. It's about being disruptive and vocal. I dont mean disruptive to the point of violence or anything unintelligent, but certainly a group of protestors should be able to protest where they want, even if it means blocking the entrance to a building.
AND at which point the police are to do their job, which is make sure the protestors do not block the building's entry ways.
The idea of issuing permits for places to protest seems to defeat the nature of protests. Especially when the opposing view is in power and has the ability to not permit a protest at a given location.
I would rather have protestors be allowed to protest where they feel they need to, and face the legal wrath of the police if they are out of line.
Although i guess the reality is that with the current permit system, protestors will still decide to obey that legal decision. A good protest of course probably would not respect such permits if the cause was serious enough to warrant disobeying the law.
Everyone has the right to assemble peaceably to protest what they consider a grievance against our duly elected and representative government.
This isnt true. Usually you need a permit to peacefully assemble and protest. Many Cities have denied protesters the right to protest based on their choice of location.
There is no real right to assemble peacefully... Its really a grey area until the powers at be decide that they dont want you in a specific place.
Also another problem i have is... Hillary Clinton was giving a speach on violent videogames, and if anyone dared to stand up and challenge her during her "press conference", they would have been removed from the room.
Instead of challenging her, and having her respond in a real give and take discussion publically, they would simply remove the "offender"
There is a SERIOUS problem in this country and if you think we really have a voice.... You're part of the problem.
Just curious when we'll actually stop bleeding our personal info to foreign nations?
How about security?
Its pretty scary when you realize we were once at war with Russia. Nuclear stand offs... spys... tight security....
Just how tight was that security?
It seems to me that either there never was security, or we're just getting so lazy about protecting ourselves.
The hellish nightmare that one must go through when having their info stolen... is too much of a burden on the victom. It is not right that we continue to hand over info to unknowns.
As a Psoriasis sufferererer, I frequently use narrow band UVB light at home for treatments. I've also done regulard UVB in past years.
There are studies that have gone on for over 30+ years that show Psoriasis patients who use UVB treatment frequently and responsibly do not show ANY increased risk of skin cancer when compared to the average person in day light sun.
The study suggests that a frequent moderation of UVB (beneficial for those living with Psoriasis) is not only good for treating Psoriasis but also may suggest just what this article is talking about. And that is... modern sun exposuer creates a natural protection against the sun.
Psoriasis patients and dermatologists have known this for years in reguards to treating Psoriasis sufferers, because the method of treatment involves steadily increasing exposure over time. Why steadily inrease exposuer? Because the skin becomes resistant to UVB.
(This applys ot UVA as well) Generally UVB is reguarded as "safer" than UVA. UVB narrow band, is even more safer...
All of which still cause cancer by the way. I'm not saying Skin cancer isnt a risk... It is true that exposure to the sun, frequently and under moderation... will protect you from cancer than if you had tried to avoid the sun.
And Skin cancer while deadily in its most severe forms... is currently EXTREMELY cureable with the current drugs in studies. I've seen severe melonoma sufferers completely cleared of their skin cancer without surgery, through the use of the latest drugs in testing phases. It's quite amazing actually.
If the Africans ever get their act together, their wages will be lower than the Chinese, and that will be it for the rag trade. North Carolina will not make any textiles/clothing at that point.
Ah yes... Africans. And as i've always said... our current outsourcing trend stems from the days of slavery. Cheap labor exploited by the rich for profit. If they could do it legally again, they would be whipping Africans once again. Trust me. They dont want to pay workers anything, just use them.
So you're saying we should all invest our pennies into corperate America now, and live a low class, poor life style until we're around 55 perhaps... where we can MAYBE buy a house?
Is that the goal in life? Waste it investing, then cash out for 10 years of life and die?
Hey its a plan... but is it really living?
Frankly I find it a little scary that our government now wants us to hand over our money to corperations and allow them to generate our retirement wealth.
The current administration almost seems like they would force us at gun point to hand over our money to the rich... but of course they cant say that.... so they tell us our Social Security system is going bankrupt.
Really the country is going bankrupt, they're putting us in debt, the rich are profiting higher than ever and paying less taxes than ever... and not paying our work force. They're not employing more people here. They are doing what all rich people do when they profit.... buy a new house:)
JUST like we all would, if we just happened to come into an extra few million dollars this year.
Sure, maybe you would employ a house keeper and a gardener for your nice new home... but you're not really out to start a buisness:) You're out to enjoy your profit.
The country is in decline. And i agree... FUCK that 60" plasma from South Korea. We really dont need it, and its over priced as is.
As for not blaiming the rich people.... that's just not going to happen. The rich are those in power. Those in power have affect those who are not. The worse the lower class/middle class get, the more blaim will be placed upon the rich.
If the rich do not provide jobs... what money shall the workers of this country invest in the coroperations? Work at mcdonalds lately? They dont exactly pay you enough to invest in 300 shares of Microsoft.
I agree investing is important. I do it myself with the very little money saved from my better paying job days. I dont make much anymore these days in our declining country. But my view on investing is that it's a game for the rich. The rich benefit greatly in the game, while the poor really cant play the game to its fullest.
The game is riddled with curruption. We just came out of a huge investing stock market boom a several years ago now... and as we look back... those great days were full of the most currupt stockbrokers/agencies, and corperate trickery than ever before.
They took our money and ran.
If we're to truly rely on the stock market and become a nation of rich people investing in the corperations that control the world.... Then we need a fair stock market with no bullshit, and STRICT oversight.
But in the world of power and greed... how can we expect lawfullness.
Let the Democrats die. Who the fuck really cares about the Democrats? They're useless and spineless.
The country has been in need of strong third party movement that is totally seperate from the corperate democratic party and the corperate republicans.
Yes there is a small difference between the two, but very little and that is why the Democrats lose. They offer too little, and have no means to REALLY stand behind their promises.
This country needs a strong third party movement be it libertarian (which contains both conservatives and liberals that understand and respect each others choice in liberty) or say an independent like Ralph Nader or a Green such as David Cobb.
These are good people. (I should include Michael badnarick in that list of names, Libertarian candidate for president last election) They're all good people who a new take on America and they have no solutions, new ideas... and the best part about it... They're sincere. Frankly i would be glad to have any of them as president right now. Those 3 candidates, especially Ralph are apart of a movement that keeps trying every year to be apart of our so called democratic process. They get pushed off a local ballots because of partisan politics, they get kicked out of debates, they get shit tv time...
And yet those parties, those movements are out trying every year in a system that is not designed to include them. Its quite Sad that the people that really care, and run with all they have... are never really given a chance in our 2 party political system which by design has kept our choices limited to the democrats and republicans.... and this is what we have.
Ralph should have been pres in 2000:)
And the last time around... if you could only listen to David Cobb, Ralph Nader, or Michael Badnarick... they're some good folks for you you check out.
I meant to say
"The goverment can now spy on every citizen without a single reason.:)"
And whats interesting is now the government is creating an organization of civil liberties to over sea our overlords at the FBI/CIA that will be spying on our own citizens without just cause.
So basically we have a government organization set up to watch these organizations so that your liberties are not compromised.
Frankly whoever they apoint to run this new organization in government should stand up and say "before we build the fucking building... I accept the job, and now feel it is my duty as an oversear of liberty to state that YES.. our liberties have been compromised already... Good day, Good night... We're fucked"
I dont know... but these last 2 weeks with the supreme court rulings were pretty fucking fast:)
You could almost say we've hit bottom. The goverment can no spy on every citizen without a single reason.:)
Yeah... we're pretty much at the bottom. All that is left is level 10 - Rioting and Final Collapse.
I used to get to that level in Mario Brothers on one coin... but now it only takes a congress with no interest in citizen representation, a senate that says yes to everything, a supreme court with backwards rulings and an adminsitration run by a corperatist with a shitty heart (big suprise there huh?) and a monkey for president.
Oh we're so fucking there man:) WE'RE SOFA KING THERE:)

It's kind of like rape actually.. hmm
Ah greed... its like rape.
we're in soviet russia...
Senate = House
Same dam fucking thing.
We're fucked.

very good point, and perhaps a tactic in full effect
Lets just hope they use Real Player! ;)
Crap, let me try.
In Soviet Russia, Horoscope deforms you!

who do you serve when the public is growing poor?
;)
Ah yes, you serve the rich.
My advice, learn to build boats or "custom choppers"
I just hope someone films it and posts it online.

histerical read :)
:) Sad that i actually remember Yackoff, or as i just learned... Yakov :)
I guessed right.
Makes you wish we had some Liberals in office... They actually balance budgets!
:) We're going to sure as hell need him when our country is broke.
Keep spending Bush. Down with the country, up with Jesus
Thank you republicans!
someone really needs to explain these "In soviet Russia..." jokes :) The only reference i can possibly imagine is Yackoff Smirnoff :)
Seriously what does it fund?
There should be not tax on this shit. If our government wants to tax everything secretly, lets just send back our lame Bush tax cut.
oops, meant new solutions, not no solutions :)
