If you've been around some of the people I know that do karaoke, knowing how to sing is not a factor.
All said and done, GH is exactly what a video game should be. It's simple, addictive, challenging, nad makes you feel like you are a part of the game. My only problem with it is that I keep trying to play the songs like I was playing my real guitar. I keep trying to finger a chord when I should be pressing a single button...
you ever try to watch 320x200 on a 42" screen? Can you say atari sized pixels?
And while I'm at it... exactly how many emulators are out there for an iPod that can take advantage of a wireless joypad, 42" plasma, SPDIF/Optical audio and mass storage of all associated roms, pictures, video, etc.? I'm not trying to snuggle up with Bill G., but my MCE box does exactly what I want it to do. It provides an entertainment solution for my family accross multiple classes of entertainment. Audio, video, gaming, and some casual surfing if needed. And it does this all on my 42" TV in glorius 720p resolution... not some postage stamp sized video clip that I need to look at through a magnifying glass
Yeah... but my site doesn't look exactly like the wells Fargo or Bank of America websites...
If these guys are smart enough to hack into a webserver... I would assume they would be smart enough to recognize that my site isn't a phishing site.
So your saying that if you wanted to replace that stock cassette player with a CD player, you wouldn't care? That would be a mod and under this line of thinking... you couldn't do it. I for one don't want to pay double the price for a stock CD player that sucks when I can go down and get a spiffy Pioneer MP3/CD player installed for half the price. I feel the same way about my consoles... I liek playing Japanese imports... I don't like having to buy a Japanese console and a TV that can support NTSC 4.1 so that I can play those games.
IBM was using Ethernet and CAT5 by 1997... I know... I was ripping out the STP Cable and MAUs and replacing them with CAT5 and Hubs/Switches at quite a few of IBM's customer's sites.
And don't get me started on CAT5 MAUs... what a load of crap that was...
Though those Type II connectors were built solid as hell...
One problem with everyone switching to a Mac... once it becomes the 'norm', all the virus writers focusing on Windows will shift platforms. It's the same with *nix systems. If everyone shifts to *nix, the virus writers will also shift.
A Unix-like with a usable GUI, a computer that just works, a computer that does take hours of frustrating effort just to plug in a standard peripheral, etc etc etc
Uhmm... I've been using my XP GUI for about 6 weeks straight now without any stability issues other than when I was forced to install iTunes so I could watch fullscreen quicktime trailers. And when it crashed explorer... it was back up within seconds.
I also rarely have problems pluging in peripherals, whether they are USB or even when I crack the case to stick in a new card. This may be because I don't buy the cheap-ass Genius, BTC, or other 2 bit hardware manufacture crap and stick to relatively name brand equipment.
I also use Dell equipment in a corporate network environment, but when Uncle Sam tells you to by Dell or your a terrorist... you do what he wants. Even though, the Dell equipment is relatively stable as long as it's set up properly and not with a Dell image.
try explaining an atom to a scientist 500 years ago. Do you think he would understand? It's not a matter of running out of places to look, but more like we haven't even thought of the places to look yet.
Actually, North Korea used its nuclear capabilities to try and strongarm the US into giving them free oil and other things. Why should I have to pay for a madman's oil when he can't even feed his country?
Have you ever looked at the satellite photo showing the lights on the Korean penisula? North Korea is completely dark (except for Kim's palace). North Korea should be focusing on bringing itself into the 21st century... not trying to blackmail the US and most of the far east into giving free handouts.
Anyone else ever here about the rumor that Yuri wasn't really the first cosmonaut in space? The 'rumored' first manned launch decided to keep going instead becoming ballistic and re-entering the atmosphere.
In addition, this was used to prevent the standard BIOS hard reset from being called to eliminate breaking out of screen savers and such. If someone locked their workstation and left, someone else couldn't come up and ctrl-alt-del the system and gain access unless they had sysadmin rights. Doesn't really help with a full powerdown though...
Xenu is something like their devil in scientology... they are forbidden to say it or something like that... bunch of whack jobs if you ask me.

There is one technology that may be able to help drop the armor requirements... electronic munition shielding. A small electronic field generator is in operation now that can explode any explosive munition with an electronic detonator in a predetermined radius. All they need to do is figure out an easy way to make it extremely portable and explode as much inbound munitions as possible. That would leave room for lighter "small-arms" armor and increase the effectiveness of the platform. This probably wouldn't be a front line weapons platform, but more a psy-ops platform after the major battle is over. Just think about standing there in view of a 15ft/3m tall mech... kind of scary in my opinion.

Jeez!!!! Windows XP Pro Retail is $470.00 in the UK? I can get it off of NewEgg for $270.00...

Another Enron/Worldcom like problem... shoot all the CEOs and the IT industry will prosper.

You forgot Donkey Kong 3... with Mario's cousin Pete (or something like that)

Yeah... but I have about 50 2 gig harddrives... how many firewalls should I set up for myself?
Yeah, but they are dual processor systems... 2000 pieces
