" It's important to keep language consistent because it is a very good thing for language. "
Wow, that's idiotic. It's important to keep language dynamic because it is a very good thing for language to be UP TO DATE. Else, thou wouldst have to sticketh this commentation in thine arse!
A remote site had a machine hanging. I couldn't ssh into it. I told them to force turn it off, then restart it. Apparently they couldn't handle compound sentences. And thought I could fix computers that were turned off.
I called them 10 minutes later and asked them to turn it on.
That fixed the problem for them...well, on a computer level at least.
Google maps still won't find my address. I'd like to add my whole street/neighborhood. It's been around for 5 years now. The satellite images have been even updated with higher resolution ones. Yet the map view still doesn't have any streets in my neighborhood.
There's something broken in your email program and OS if you can't just click on every email without getting infected.
Citation, or it never happened!
You're missing a few decimal places... The distance is 35,000 kilometers times 4 for a round trip of latency. 140,000,000/300,000,000 = ~0.5 sec
"And Flash is an ActiveX control..."
Not on my computer. Or the browser I use in Windows.
& what's your point?
And subscriptions to Sky & Telescope:Satellite Edition have gone up by 400%.
But that's because the page count has now doubled.
We take pictures now too. Wheeeee!
Maybe you could sell your website better by not sounding so nutjobby.
Maybe not.
That's the job of the high paid ones!
"iPhone (can only get push mail from Yahoo) "
Wow, that's among the most ignorant comments I've heard about the iPhone yet.
Try IMAP/IMAPS/POP/POPS/ExchangeIMAP
It's as good as any other phone for email.
Central Seattle, WA. Just google it.
"...where have you been?"
Waiting for his download to finish...
Your comment and sig seem so appropriate together...
It's either push it to turn it on...or women have pussy power.
"I've always qualified smartphones as two features: internet aware, and open to 3rd party software. The iphone fails on the second requirement."
So this month it's not, and next month it is??
Do web apps count as 3rd party software? Before you answer that, look at flytunes. And realize it's a webapp.

I thought I gave my wife a diamond engagement ring.
Turns out, I didn't...
Does that count?

Yeah, the honey makes the tubes sticky, then the bees get stuck. Pretty soon, no more ads! The horror!!
But if the luminous cat sits at night staring at the luminous fish, I'll stay away from all the light!
BTW, for a nerdy show, they could have made the fish look a bit more 'real'.
I had this just last week.

There's a flaw in your logic.
Many porn sites infect & crash windows.
But I like where your head is at.
Hey, it's a real word if Fake Steve Jobs says so!!!
Wow, that's weird.
