for all the pro-consumer/anti-business stuff that everybody thinks Europe has, for some reason debeer's bailed from the US and seems to operate quite openly and successfully in Europe. #jussayin
I guess Yelp doesn't even bother ACK'ing TCP connections from Italy then...

More like all the dinosaurs decided to commit suicide, so they all jumped into volcanoes at the same time, plugging them up with their bodies. Finally, the pressure got too high and kablam! Massive volcanic eruptions around the Earth.
I believe your first challenge to a life of leisure will be "what will I eat today?" and "where will I sleep tonight?" You seem to think that the rich won't mind paying crazy taxes for welfare payments to hundreds of millions of people. Or if the republicans are in charge, those people instead are homeless and get to go to the food bank and depend on the largess of those same rich people.
If over a short period of time, the economy switches to a 'virtual' one, you can say goodbye to the US and Europe. The rich will pick some islands to live on, with a suitable paid-for navy to surround it, and just get their money they 'earn' transferred there and let the US and Europe burn down. Which it will because millions will be starving, homeless and without hope for themselves or their families.

Yes. They will make sure that every byte of it goes through gov't servers, unencrypted. And only using the best American technology!

the constant daily updates of Java to fix security flaws are driving everyone crazy and causing support nightmares.
And .Net has no updates. Ok, maybe just one or two a year...for new features. It has no security problems.
Sure, it's always been there, but it's gone to a whole new level since the "event".
Hey, I'm the one being bombarded with particles over here!
