And also manufacturers. Everybody is getting into this game where the manufacturer believes the person buying their widget [car, phone, toaster, heart monitor] didn't pay enough for it, so it has to be connected to the companies server, so they can track how the device is being used and sell that information to whomever comes by with a dollar.
For pretty much every ISP, large or small, you really only have a limited guarantee that connection between your location and the initial entry point to the ISP works some of the time, and in the best case conditions, will transfer data at a certain speed. You have no guarantee that you can access any specific site at any specific speed.
I'll bet there a bunch of companies capable of building a lunar base [as in, a facility capable of supporting life for a non-trivial amount of time on the surface of the moon]. Of course, none of them have any chance of actually getting the base to the moon.
Sorry, if you have lots of shiny things, then the localities police and army protect both your fleshy bits and your shiny things.
If you don't, then they don't really bother protecting either. They will write up a report afterwards, though, detailing how it was your fault it happened.
Of course they couldn't tell the people writing in that they saw an airplane. The USSR had absolutely no clue that the US was designing spy planes and would have totally started trying to find out more details about these so-called "airplanes" had they known, and by not telling the writers, it delayed the USSR's theft of the details of America's secret airplanes by approximately ZERO days.
The first thing anybody who might even have the slightest possibly of going to Mars will have to do is sign a bundle of papers saying that everything they think, say or do is the property of a private corporation. Probably will also require they be spayed/neutered as well, because they can't legally require the person to sign over their children to the corporation, and the corporation will require all occupants of the planet to be completely indentured to the corporation.
Um, no. While they do have some conditions imposed on them until 2018, they have sued over FCC's regulations for net neutrality and won. Hell, these conditions were IMPOSED on them for violating the laws and regulations w.r.t. internet traffic.
It entirely depends on the order of data in the database. If you know the data is already mostly sorted, then it can perform much better than other methods.
If only the games for these systems didn't depend on Microsoft's and Sony's servers to be accessible for them to work. It's almost as if it's some kind of crazy DRM scheme.
Maybe eventually we will have the technology to make a console and games that don't depend on a server that is not in the purchasers control.
These apps, fitness tracking apps, car monitoring apps, they all COULD work just fine without uploading everything to the vendor's server. But now, vendors have the belief that you didn't pay enough when you purchase merchandise from them. You need to further monetized, by selling information about you to other companies.

God prefers stone tablets. They last longer, at least if you don't intentionally smash them...
Obviously, if they don't all fit your template, then you are using templates wrong.
Except none of this is a contract violation.

He got the medal for donating to the Republican party...
No. That's called being an investment bank.

close his tabs and clear his browser history when you walk in the room?
Yeah. They totally got it back under 50 sextillion!
This is slashdot. I haven't even read the whole title of the article.
Hold on soldier... Now, where did I put that butter knife I use for neutering?

Yeah, the banks know a lot of student debt is worthless, and they sell it for pennies on the dollar.
However, they won't let you buy your own debt for those pennies. You are still obliged to pay the full shot.

You can clearly read messages from the future. It's right there in the timestamp.
Ew. I saw what you did there. Clean that up already.

And from Comcast directly: “we do not support reclassification of broadband as a telecommunications service under Title II.”

I'm sure Comcast and AT&T would be more than willing to give the FCC a fast lane for comments arguing against net neutrality.
There are anti-twirling laws?
It definitely isn't a compliment. Seth Rogen is definitely trying to outdo Jim Carrey for number of roles he plays as an imbecile.
I guess you do what you know.

Facts not supporting the writers narrative are not permitted.
