actually it was more then drag racing, also Circut, and street racing, you could also compete against the clock with time trials. It was a good game and I'm still a little ticked at EA for shutting it down.
Weel, I would think simply looking in your mirror to judge distance would take less time then having to judge the distance and notice the car's emotion.
With the automotive industry pushing for Drive By Wire to control the steering wheel, and Microsoft pushing for there software in cars, it really brings a whole new meaning to the phrase "Blue Screen of Death".
If you could imagine your computer system in your car freezing up and cutting the contol to the steering, gas and brakes, well, it really would be a Blue Screen of Death.
Can't they stop for a moment and think that cars are getting way too complicated?
I think the game would look great ran at his res, with CG backgrounds and hand drawn characters, colored in the computer, still keeping the game 2d, but with 3d backgrounds.
It figures, one of the few new games I was actually interested in. the industry really has changed from how it was.
I think i'm going to dig up my old sam and max cd and play it today, brings back great memorys.
Look, in the sky! is it Bill Gates? is it Steve Jobs? no, it's Tuxman, delivering Linux to the starving children and renegade computer users!
nanananana tuxman!
okay, enough of that silly nonsene.
I hate to reply to my own thread, but here was the attempt of a rebirth of the game. http://groups.msn.com/motorcityonlinecommunity/gen eral.msnw?action=get_message&mview=0&ID_Message=53 32&LastModified=4675492719822478734

Sales down because of Piracy? heck I got 3 Radiohead songs at one time and ended up buying 5 of there albums, in my case it definetly helped them out.
what he lacks in talent, he makes up in explosions. :)
I don't care for his movies either, I prefer my movies to have a plot.
2" x 2"? good grief, the Game Gear had a bigger screen, only 32 colors and the system had 3.58 Mhz, but still.

december is devoted to the janitors of Microsoft to make a patch, oh wait, that'd be the normal dev teams.
