Okay but in a few years the dvd sets we own are going to oxidise and be unusable , I want to dump all my sets uncompressed onto one disc , if the cops ever ask me where I got the copies from , I will show them my rotting dvd originals I will keep in my garage, forget fox they suck, I agree they will take forever and milk it for every red cent , im taking charge here with my collection
I cant wait untill the media comes out where I can buy all my television box sets (all seasons ) onto one single disc, I would love to put in the x-files or STTNG disc and have them all at my finger tips instead of searching through boxes and boxes , and storing them. Also if there is ever a fire in my house I can grab my entire collection easier on the way out.
Good point , i never thought of battery life being a factor in watching TV, It would be nice if they had it connect with blue tooth or something to a satelite dish or dvd player, that way this technology would be indespensable , when you need the bathroom and dont want to miss what your watching , but I guess thats a entire diffrent problem, if you need to watch TV so much
Okay but I have a year old ibook and it does not take 5 minutes, one minute tops , maybe 2 if it is unplugged from the power and has to run on it's own juice , but that not long , I have had some dam slow machines in the past, but I hear what you say and I agree laptops do take longer than desktops
It does not take that long thesed ays to boot up a machine , I would find this irritating especially if most of the features are disabled without a OS boot, I have a machine like that i call it my tv not my laptop, it all sounds rather like a gimmick
I think your points are valid but I also think they interelate , you have a relationship with your job, work and or co-workers , and you can be complacent in a relationship, so I think therre is a deeper underlying truth to your points , like not being apreciated or Fulfilled in life and your place in it I agree , Since I had my heart broken by the wicked Ex I have not slept well , and that happend in January.
Grans , go figure , mine is still convinced that in the 60's she saw aliens land in the karoo, in South Africa, she had not lost her mind then. Im actually going to Scotland tommorow , to go fishing in the lochs ther , I understand they are also left overs from the same geographical circumstances that made the American great lakes , I will let you know if I see any thing interesting ( I have been to Chicago, so im going to compare )
Thats interesting , thanks. Yeah it is confusing to navigate in Chicago/Illonios, well for me at least, since there are no visible landmark that stands out ( sears tower excluded) , I live near big hills and mountains , I always know where to go by visually refrencing certain mountains, i got so lost In Illinois back in 93 when I went to visit my cousins, granted to some extend it was also cause I never knew the place , but many places just looked like other places, the best part about where I live is standing outside and visually recognising features and working out where your house is. My cousins told me that people who live in Illionois , cant live near mountains cause it makes them feel claustrophobic , is that true ?
I agree , I have seen many impressive demos ( in various formats and guises) , but I thought it was just the fact that im older now , that that wow , almost wet myself it was so good feeling was not there anymore, looking back on some of the things I thought where great back in the day (1989) , granted they have lost there wow factor now , but nothing these days comes close, SGI used to be really good at the wow factor
Yeah I caught it on a weird time , unexpectacly , so I never paid much attention to what channel it was on anyway, it was interesting , since the Ice sheets ( or at least the ones they can get too ) date back to the same time as Plato talks about , aparently the Vickings made refrence to Atlantis aswell, then when the pole shift happend, it was " sunk " quickly, due to the sudden influx of water to re balance the globe , if that was the case the pressure of the water most probebly litleraly wiped out any evidence of it ever being there, I read some where once that , that is the reason why Illonios is so flat , cause the glaciers that formed the great lakes , melted quickly , the resulting tidal waves just flatened out everything in it's path to the sea. I cant back any of this up, but it is facinating, I wonder if that why the vikings just stopped circumnavigating the world , they could have seen this as a huge omen not to travel the seas anymore, reminds me aparently the chinesse knew about Atlantis as well , my sister is reading some book now about them discovering the owrld at the same time as the vikings
I thought the land mass under the South pole was Atlantis, the piece fits into the Pangea puzzle , and it is said to have landed up there when the poles revesed there polarity around the same time the great lakes , and the scotish lochs where formed since those two places used to be the poles, I saw it on National Geographic or Discovery a while back
Whats really sureal , is plugging my duel x aracde into my 14 inch mac iBook, the controller is bigger than the machine.
I Guess if I had a Nokia N-gage and plugged it into that it might be even more sureal, maybe it's just becasue I rember the aracdes being so big, who did the hole in the coin with fishing gut " old skool hack/theft" back in the day , you know 1989
I bought one of these months ago , and I live in South Africa , so this is hardly New news , well to me at least.
They are great joysticks I got it with the additional USB converter, for shits and giggles with it that way it's easier to move this huge thing around , my converted dinninng room table is not big enough to keep it next to my computer permantly, so usb is a better bet than plugging it into the back of my machine in the keyboard slot.
You just jack it in and it works, it's great I get a kick out of the coin buttons on the side in mame, and the same side buttons as flipper buttons in my pinball simulator.
It's better than a real arcade cause i keep it clean , i rember as a kid all the aracdes around here where sticky or grimy, chances are if I miss that i can always put some food over the controler
Okay so lets say you collect a terra Byte of TV when are you going to have time to watch it all ?
I hope this has a really easy way of managing the recorded media
just fly to the otherside of the planet , and hide in a cave
In my version I got there is nothing on space flight to Mars in the article, what you talking about Willis ?
Thats what she said , Whooooo !
