The problem that I had with the prime number thing in Contact is that it assumed that the whole universe used a base10 number system. I think that we only use base10 because we have 10 fingers. Any math majors out there care to comment?
Just FYI: I found iPod batteries for sale online at www.ipodbattery.com for about $50. They also have batts for other PDA type devices. The 5GB iPod is not too bad to crack open, I have done it several times to fix dead iPods.
Good luck with whatever you choose!
Peter North and Bill Gates are like best college buddies basically.
Umm, Peter North? Isn't he an adult film star? I think that you mean Peter Norton!!!
Just FYI!
I worked for a gas station once and would go in the cooler and sift out the free 20oz Mountain Dew bottles to the back shelf. I did use the tilt method but I found that a nice bright backlight helped a lot too.
I call for vendor support several times a week and am routed to India. My favorite engineer introduced himself as "Ronald McDonald." Although he had an amusing and obviously non-Indian name, he was a very qualified engineer. He spoke pretty good English too.
I seem to remember reading about some guys that made a version of Pong that would give you shocks when you screwed up. Anyone ever try one of these?

I do remember these too. I think that they used a 3x multiplier to get up to speed. Which is funny that they were calling it a DX4...
Microsoft is able to doublespeak! Is anyone else surprised?

"Definite possiblity"... my favorite oxymoron! You will have to let us know if GMAIL is the official corporate mail system.
"Quick! Jam his radio! Hit the switch on the left!"
Is that enough time to bury a trojan in the driver?
I am not an astrophysicist. I did a GIS for "Phoebe" and was even more confused... Is the Cassini-Huygens craft going to "probe" Lisa Kudrow?
Whatever happened to the 2.88MB floppy disk drives? Just wondering.

I can't make this stuff up!
I can imagine all 200,000 lights burning out simultaneously as his server strains under the sudden slashdot load!
