.... just how does Google plan to make money from this? Sure it takes away business from traditional directory based searches, but I still fail to see how the cash that those services would get end up in Google's pocket. I'm sure that if I'm missing something that/.'ers will point out what that something is.
... If all music players play AAC which not all do. Those "el-chepo" ones from your local flea market don't. Neither do the ones from Cowon, Creative, Philips, Sandisk (everything but the e200s), or Toshiba. If you have one of those, then this announcement means nothing to you. But if you're player is made by Apple, Microsoft, Nokia, Sony, or Sandisk (just the e200s), then you're safe because these players will let the sounds of your favorite artists issue forth from their AAC-encoded files.
Until they all do, this isn't the "eureka" moment that people think it is.

* How will Web content outside the control of campaigns affect voters?

Also worth noting. Apple has decided NOT to sue the creator as it would be unlikely that they'd win:

I don't see hordes of psycho people running around with anti-social behavior that can directly be traced back to video games. If there are people out there who do have anti-social behavior, maybe it's due to the fact that they were kind of out there to begin with.
It didn't come from Larry Page and Sergey Brin or anybody like that. For all we know, this statement may just be some sort of FUD meant to scare people who put out other smart phones (Read: Microsoft, Palm, etc.).
I'll wait for some sort of "official" announcement.
They allow you to plug in any device that does voltage conversion (check your AC adapter before you leave to make sure it does) into any outlet. That way you don't have to walk around with a ton of cables.
Also, if you're an Apple Fanboy, Apple has the World Travel Adapter Kit that does the same thing with the power adapters that come with iPods, iBooks, PowerBooks, MacBooks, MacBook Pros.

Three key points from the article:
* How will Web content outside the control of campaigns affect voters?
* How should campaigns react to anonymous but highly viewed attacks?
* When is Web content, no matter how provocative, newsworthy?
Also worth noting. Apple has decided NOT to sue the creator as it would be unlikely that they'd win:
