Vodafone said credit card numbers, passwords, PINs, and mobile phone numbers were not exposed, and no personal call information or browsing data was accessed."
So, a simple statement that shoots one in the foot. They do save what users get up to on the web.
This is a stupid idea. Sometimes, a real quick burst of acceleration OVER the speed limit avoids accidents. Take this control away from the driver, and you end up with this:
"The crew applied full power and the pilot attempted to climb. However, the elevators did not respond to the pilot's commands, because the A320 computer system engaged its 'alpha protection' mode (meant to prevent the aircraft entering a stall.) Less than five seconds later, the turbines began ingesting leaves and branches as the aircraft skimmed the tops of the trees. The combustion chambers clogged up and the engines failed. The aircraft fell to the ground."
Every 10 metres from the surface, divide by ten and add 1. i.e. at 60 metres depth, that will be 7 bar (105 psi), at 300 metres that will be 31 bar (465 psi).
My Samsung notebook showed the same behaviour running Linux Mint (I don't touch MS stuff, and haven't for 11 years or so).
The solution I found was to turn off suspend in BIOS - then the OS puts the notebook to sleep on lid shut, and to wake it up just hit (or in my case 'slide') the power button. Still two steps, but I find it easier and quicker rather than waggling the lid up and down.
On another note, my wife's Acer notebook suspend works perfectly running Ubuntu.
When I was in Montreal on a business conference, my female boos told two Yanks from West Virigania "Whatever you Do, don't try to keep up with {my name} drinking. Well, we went out, and they did try to keep up drinking with me (started off with two flagons each, piss water type stuff). The next day both Yanks had hangovers and failed to get up, let alone come to work. I was up at 6. haha, my boss new too!
It's a great idea, costing almost nothing to implement and light up dingy shacks and such.
But I wondered if you get some sort of decent light on a nice dark full moon night? Nobody seems to have mentioned that
I disagree. Think sports. Why can some people run faster than others? Why can some people play tennis better than others? It is nothing to do with upbringing, just the way we are. Everybody is good at something, so sometimes no matter how many tennis coaches you have, or training on a bike to win the tour de France, will never work. Sure, you can be taught how to play tennis, chess et al, but to be GOOD you need the natural ability to be able to do it anyway.
The same with logical good programming. Some have got it, a lot haven't.
Also, what I have found, is that only certain people have the inbuilt 'logic' to code. Sure, you can teach them the language syntax etc., but the logic part needs to come from the head. A lot of people, no matter how hard they try, just cannot do it!
..reading anything on wikipedia that is wrong, and then correct it, immediately gets reverted. So I wouldn't trust this at all. It's a shame that sheeple believe a lot of the tripe on there.
Learn to write American or don't write at all.
Uh Umm. It's called ENGLISH. Bastardised German is as bad as English (US).
I don't use Vodaphone - morse code for me.

...not used by anybody be a 'security risk'?
...of the hundreds of silly VB programmes around found on the *free* sites in the late '90's~ that opened the CD Tray on Windows machines.
Surely the would need to get a copy of the death certificate before they could do anything - at the moment (legally) it's just hearsay.

India[ns] have been around for ages?
As soon as it is released, I bet a load of people could fool this crap just by whistling a few notes.
