  2. How do they justify those chile porn charges? on 3rd-Grader Busted For Jolly Rancher Possession · · Score: 1

How is it that teenagers are getting child porn charges for simple nudity or partial nudity? Nudity alone isn't generally considered porn. There are a number of movies a person can rent from a regular video store or buy on Amazon that have minors nude. (Pretty Baby, American Beauty, Zeffirelli Romeo & Juliet etc)

  3. Ipod Touch fulfills that function and many more on When Internet Radios Get Affordable · · Score: 5, Insightful

An Ipod Touch can receive Internet radio through various apps, and it can fulfill many other functions as well. Why bother buying these one-purpose devices that usually cost almost as much, if not more than an 8GB Ipod Touch? There are probably smartphones (including the iPhone) that can do it, as well.

  5. Overly complicated and expensive on Aussie Army Trains With Fleet of Robots On Segways · · Score: 3, Insightful

Why couldn't they have rigged up some cheap 4-wheeled robots to carry targets around? Then there would be no need for the expensive Segway balancing mechanisms.

I can't wait to see what the Daily Show and Colbert Report can do with this. This should give them even more material to work with and call them on their bullshit.

  12. 10 sucks, controls are on top of the video on The Worst Apple Products of All Time · · Score: 1

I can't stand the latest Quicktime Player. They've moved the controls so they're on top of the video you're watching, and you can't move them off of it. Any time you use the video controls, part of the video is obscured. It's maddening, I'm always shifting the controls to where they're least objectionable, and enlarging the video so they don't block as much of it.

  18. "Self sustaining base" on Buzz Aldrin's Radical Plan For NASA · · Score: 2, Insightful

No, that is a indeed a fantasy. A self-sustaining base has to be able to produce food, clean water and energy. It has to be able to make replacement parts, and that means mines, chemical plants, machine shops, factories and chip-fabrication facilities. Oh, and also universities. That is a pure, utter fantasy given our current technology and our capacity for space travel. We can't make a self-sustaing colony on Antarctica or underwater, so why would you think we can do it on another planet?

There's plenty of reason to fear a plane that has military escorts, if the plane is over Manhattan. An air-to-air missile cannot vaporize a 747. If it was trying to do a kamikaze and they shot it down over Manhattan, it would simply crash in a slightly different place than it was aiming for.

I believe JMS addressed the question of re-doing the CGI. He said that they had lost all the 3D models, so they had no way of updating the graphics. They would have to do everything from scratch, and nothing would look exactly the same. There are also other issues, such as the prominent early-90's fashion in the early episodes.
