When Babylon 5 was over, he created a follow up show called 'Excalibur'. Preachy, condecending, P.C. and full of cliches. It was still born and it was not wonder it was not picked up by anybody.
In other words, it was awful.
Let's hope he is not trying to find an excuse to pull that one out of the grave.
There was a time when you were absolutely right about emachines. But the last 18 months they have turned around and made themselves in the value leader for desktops and laptops. I own a laptop with Athlon XP 2500, 512 megs, 606 gig, integrated ATI graphics and a 16x10 15 inch screen. got it for 1100.00 US and now it's below 1K. No problems so far. And it has wireles and ethernet built in. I'm really worried that gateway will mess them up.
A while back Roger Ebert pointed out the difference between watching tv at 60 fields per second and movies at 24 frames a second (actually 48fps since each frame is shown twice). The short period of black between frames in a movie theater has an effect on the brain and makes the experience more enjoyable and relaxing. I wonder if digital projection will take that away.
even at 24p, there is not short 'black space' between frames.
I bougth the iriver ihp-120 and have been very happy about it. I tried the rio karma and took it back since they now require you to use Realplayer to manage file copying and managament. It wouldn't even show up as an external drive on my perfectly mainstream WinXP box.
The iriver has support for ogg vorbis at up to 500kbs. FM tuner, support for mp3 and wma, but not the new wma lossless. Once you install the driver, it looks like an external HD and is easy to copy music over.
Windows media player does not recognize it as a protable device yet though.
Still, just use drag and drop from you music folders to the iriver, then right click and select update the music db on the folder icon. Very easy, no special software required.
It's also firmware upgradable.
Battery last for up to 16 hours too.
I went to high school in Arkansas and the school mascot is a Red Devil (as in the Red Devils football team). And we had prayer before each game, and everone understood a mascot was not a religious symbol. No one asked for forgiviness for playing for the 'Red Devils', except when they had a losing season. Which was most of the time:).
Low cost Japanese animation is doing that already. From kid stuff to hard core x rated and everything in between. You just won't see much of that on the big screen like it is in Japan.
FYI folks.
Ritalin is no longer the preferred drug for ADD/ADHD. Adderoll is. Very effective, without the crash and burn effect that happens when ritalin stops working. And you still feel like yourself.
Senior Management (usually Republican, sometimes Democrat) types all think like this. She and others view themselves as some sort of royalty and the rest of us should be grateful we even get to work.
Fire her ass immediately.
As of now I will not buy another HP product.
Dont need itunes. Use MusicMatch and their new service which has more titles than itunes and uses wma files.
Download, then copy directly to the iriver.
That easy. Thats what I do with my iriver ihp-120.
And like my iriver ihp-120, it will have a built in mp3 encoder for field recording (up to 320kbs at 16/44 stereo).
And like my iriver ihp-120 it will have optical/analog input and output connections.
And have a built in FM tuner.
Unlike an ipod.
Similar place in Little Rock Ar called 'Sufficient Grounds' and offers free wireless access and great prices (I had a cup of coffee with free refills and a basket of fried cheese sticks for under 4 bucks)

Plus recycle the remaining solids as fertilizer.
Does the Pentium M support Hyperthreading, or something new and better?

Lets be nice and send fresh underwear to all the product executives at MS. They need it after this news.
You are right. NASA tried an unmanned prototype that flew around at approx 12 knots over Hawaii. It crashed because of weather.
