  1. That will overflow into his work life one way or another.

Not if you are a mature person that has a sense of boundaries and how to behave in different social settings.

Leave your f*king social lives at home. You come to work to do work. You might be sitting next to a person of a different religion, a fan of the wrong football club or supporter of the opposing political party. Deal with it. On your own time.

As long as Garfield treats his (female) coworkers professionally, let him be.

THIS is what I want to see. How does that little CPU cooler condenser scale up to these levels?

TFA indicates that this device operates on a night/day cycle. The MOF absorbs atmospheric moisture at night and releases it into the condenser during the day. So it's really just a bed of desiccant. Probably more efficient and optimized for this application. But if you want to save some money on the zirconium, just save all those packages of silica-gel that come with electronics shipments.

Dumping the condenser heat (see the figure above) could be achieved by a similar cyclical system. Cool a large mass during the night by radiation and use it to absorb the condenser's output during the day.

There is a lot of engineering work that needs to go into this system to make it work. The MOF may turn out to be a relatively small part of the work.

More like 5000 years. Back then, the first person to sail or paddle a boat was probably also it's builder. And it probably took guts to venture out further than you could wade or swim back to shore. By 500 years ago, shipbuilding was old hat. So was sailing. But navigating out of sight of land was still an accomplishment. That's why people like John Harrison were the heros.

The US tax code is an unholy pile of crap. Personal income tax rates are generally lower than in other developed countries. On the other hand, corporate tax rates are higher. But there are so many loopholes and exemptions that it all boils down to what sort of tax planning and advice you can afford. Individuals have a few write-offs available to them until they hit the AMT. Then, they pretty much pay the tax schedule rate. Corporations can whittle their taxes down to near zero. If you can't get your corporate rate down into the single digits, fire your CFO. This is why we (in the USA) are bent out of shape about our tax system. It's not just the percentages.

Most people want either less corruption or more of a chance to participate in it.
