Of course they are. That's why it's a kind of blasphemy to mock them.
SJWs are religious.
Probably. But go to work for a company that is run by a bunch of bible-thumpers. The atmosphere is just as toxic. And they have their self-appointed morality police. Who don't do a lick of work but run around and police everyone elses' behavior.
Maybe poor people do without - I mean, f*ck you, I got mine!
Maybe they do. But the problem with taking 'regressive' taxes off of people and placing them on corporations is that the 15% you thought you would be collecting from them just gets tacked onto the cost of those products that the poor people need. And it ends up being the same number of dollars (or Euros, or whatever) that come out of their pockets.
The only viable way to help poor people is to hand out the essentials.
I'm struggling to think of an instance where CO2 pollution isn't from the same source as the other airborne pollutants
Not many. But sometimes they have a complex relationship. Want lower CO2,unburned HC and particulates? Increase combustion temperatures. But Whoops. NOx goes up. Volkswagen made the wrong decision and got their ass handed to them.
everyone that might even have thoughts of a sex with another person
I think about that several times an hour. On a slow day.
The thing is: I don't act on thoughts thoughts without prior permission from my wife. And then I don't have an urge to go snapping pictures of the deed. Never mind sharing them with all but a few trusted third parties. And then never using a platform that I have little or no control over.
In my experience with the polygamous lifestyle, people who don't protect their personal lives are worse than careless. They are actually seeking out tragedy.
Sex is fine. It's just that the default should be not to share the details with any yet to be determined third parties, without some serious justification (like being a porn star).
We have just such a loophole in place already. Food (groceries) is exempt from sales tax. Gas taxes? Poor people don't drive that much. Take the bus (subsidized).
If I put a tax of $15 on $100 of groceries
Then the rich people will have to cough up $115. The poor won't 'not eat'. They will be able to spend 85% of whatever they have in their pockets for food. Maybe shop at Safeway or Walmart instead of Metropolitan Market.
It's a system that would not allow a human to drive into a wall. If I turned the steering wheel toward a wall, the car turns the wheel back the right way
But what if the wall swerved in front of your vehicle? Or ran through a stop sign/red light. And by 'wall' I mean bicycle.
Even more concerning, it has the potential to make firearms more readily available to people who are not allowed to possess them
So does the plumbing section at Home Depot. Faster and cheaper than 3D printing as well. 3D printed guns are really only proof of concept to demonstrate how stupid gun control laws are. Anyone actually needing one can make a zip gun that has an order of magnitude lower probability of blowing up from a scrap pile.
Sometimes it's not the designers that get the blame. It's the retail outlets. Anecdote:
I have a nice Milwaukee battery powered hammer drill. Bought it years ago with a couple of NiCad battery packs. As time went by, the packs failed to take a charge, so I'd buy new ones. Several years ago, needing a new pack, the local big box hardware store said they no longer carried them. 'Why not buy a brand new drill?' Screw that. A bit of searching turned up the fact that Milwaukee sells replacement, plug-compatible Lithium-Ion packs (with the appropriate charger) as a kit to keep their line of tools running.
Let's go back to no crumple zones
I could just ride a motorcycle.
So give me a motorcycle with two more wheels, an enclosed passenger cabin, heat, air conditioning and a comfy bench seat.
At least Chinese people can avoid snooping by their government by leaving the country. No such luck for US persons.
The bus in that picture looks mighty short to me. If you get my meaning.
I don't know if I'd want my kids riding on that thing because of the stigma.
only to end up as jobless nerds in their moms basement
Or have a brilliant career loading FedEx trucks.
Of course they are. That's why it's a kind of blasphemy to mock them.

They are uninstalled. But when the advertisers attempt to contact an app that was there once but no longer is, they start sending you nag messages.
Someone needs to develop an app that does nothing but reply in place of the apps that you uninstalled: "Yep. I'm still here."
It will all be fixed in Windows 12.

Food banks. You can make the 'Muh poor people' argument all the way down to not having the money plus 15% tax for a stick of gum.
Where I live, we don't tax food anyway. So if you don't have enough money for food, tax policy isn't a solution anyway.

as they can Slashdot on the go
Like we don't do that alrea~{po ~poz~ppo\[NO CARRIER]
You're essentially comparing an apple to a grocery store ...
A grocery store that is all out of apples. So if that's what you wanted ...

How do you know nothing possessing a camera has not been hijacked
Are you the person who e-mails me for Bitcoin because he has hijacked my webcam and threatens to release the pictures?
I would have sent the payment. But I'm so poor, I can't even afford a laptop with a webcam.
preserve the environment
I wonder how much environment I've saved by keeping a couple of 40 year old cars on the road.
Washington State has lots of hydro power,
Not for long. The greenies are coming after that too.
