I would guess that you are a minority in that respect. I agree with you, but I wouldn't go to all the trouble of checking every piece of software to see if previous versions exist and I don't think many other people would either.

I must say, however, that the dark dungeons should be handled with care. Some of Halo 2 (yeah, sorry, no 360) is hard simply because it is way too dark. Straining my eyes to see where monsters are coming from may well be realistic when my character is indoors, but it annoys the hell out of me.

ok. I don't understand how that applies to what I said. I simply stated that a group of people (creationist Jews, and I know that not all victims were) in the Holocaust are in the same group as people that falsely believe that the event never happened. This group is what you put together and I never intended to start some sort of battle over it. It was an odd observation I made.

I hate to be the one to break it to you, but the Jews are creationists. I'm seriously not intending to start any sort of debate, it was just a (I thought) humorous observation that they are in the same group as the Holocaust deniers.

to be clear, funny not flamebait :-)

So, with wine, I'd assume that you at least remove the possibility of the above-discussed rootkit problems with your OS, right? That's an improvement in and of itself. I'd almost be happy with a Linux VM just to run it wine... or with cygwin and wine? wow, that's a lot of effort, but it might be worth it, I don't know.
