Not what i remember. I remember cable giving me crystal clear pictures of all TV and Sports. Getting all the channels that ya couldn't get because of poor Antenna
reception was the number 1 reason to switch to cable. i didn't give a flying fudge about the commercials or the lack there of.If you didn't live near a city you were screwed until the local cable company finally decided to run cable. Oh i remember living in Norristown,PA maybe 6-10 miles from Phila as the crow flys. Could get the VHF channels they were too snowy so i couldn't watch any Flyers games because back then they were on channel 17 or 48 VHF. ya it was clarity/ability to get local channles more then anything else. Today its all about the package, quality is not that great anymore either.
