I'm familiar with the hoops you have to jump through to take down videos but I've found them to be painless in my experience. I had 2 high traffic videos re-uploaded by other users (with ads) that I filed claims for. By providing a link to my original video the process was sped up quite a bit.

However I do agree that Google has no incentive to enforce their own copyright rules unless someone notices. I can't imagine how much ad revenue they have made on movies and music that was uploaded by other than owners.

The whole patent systems needs a rework to bring it up to speed with today's technology. Asking that they get it ready for tomorrow's is wishful thinking at best.

TVs should be a display and that's it. Give it the brain to decode HDMI signals and the tuner for over the air digital but that should be it. Every time a manufacturer tries to put more then that in their TV it just makes it worse. I spent a day at best buy looking at TVs this month, not a single internet enabled had an interface that doesn't make you want to rip out all your hair. Added features shouldn't break the main ones.

You can chose to eat or not eat anything you want but trying to prevent others from doing exactly the same thing is a little fucky don't you think? I support research and development into GM because it has the potential to lower costs and increase the nutritional value of foods. If it is developed and approved by the FDA then you can choose to not eat it as you will but if near sighted kneejerkers block it from development and approval then I lose the ability to choose a cheaper source of nutrition.

If you are that concerned about the effects of GM foods on your health or the health of your kids then STOP BEING SCARED OF IT and DO SOME RESEARCH. Yelling "its going to kill us all" isn't going to help any one, sit down and do some serious google work. Read everything you find on GM foods and not just the alarmist knee jerk reactions of the uninformed. Just because it's not natural doesn't mean its bad.

I do wonder what foxcon eventually wants out of this deal though.

How many could make the shot and disable or kill a shooter? How many could shoot a kid?
