  1. Re:Drumming... on New Guitar Hero Drumset Showcased · · Score: 3, Insightful
Excuse me ... Bull Farking Shit. It amazes me that people buy this thing. I am a drummer with 20 years experience and it's exactly the same motions and training. How do you think drummers learn timing? umm, by playing to albums, cd's etc. You could move that one pad and you'd have an electronic drum set.

I would bet that you could take one of these drummers, sit them in front of a kit, and they could actually PLAY a song. Not like that joke of a guitar thing. My God! I have no talent or patience to learn an instrument so I'll spend close to the same amount of money to basically masterbate in front of a tv.

In my not so humble opinion, this is the biggest joke I've ever seen. If you can play this "game" you can play drums. You can buy a decent begginer kit for under $500.

Support.. ya right.. this is the worst red herring I've ever seen. Who really gives a shit if you can call Microsoft with a problem with a seven or eight year old os? If you haven't got it figured out by now, give up and buy a Mac.

Does the world not have enough computer geeks anymore? The only time I've ever called Microsoft was to do the manual activation.

The people that will use Ubuntu know where to find it. This is also another red herring. There are simply far too many windows programs and far too many linux issues for Ubuntu to get anywhere near the install base as windows. I personlly don't think Linux will ever be "on the desktop" as the zealots proclaim.

    "Official Support" is incredibly over-rated.

Speed and traffic are two different issues although they do reduce the traffic with speed limits. The big isp's only want grandma to check email once a week. They never want anyone to actually USE their connection as they are oversold to stay in business. They pay their upstream providers by the gig, doesn't really matter how fast you get that email.. it's how much email you get.

The worst I've ever seen was the satelite guys.. Piece of shit service.. they wouldn't touch your speed until you hit their 500 meg (daily) hard cap... then you went from 150kb down to 5kb. Try getting an iso on that shitty service.
