I had Verizon for 4 years and decided to switch to nextel because all my freinds and co-workers have the direct connect feature. I went into the nextel store the day before my contract was to end for Verizon, and switch my phone number over and signed the nextel contract. My next Verizon bill had a $300.00 early termination fee which took about 3 hours and 4 people to dismiss. They told me I broke my contract by leaving Verizon a day ealry even though my last contract bill had been paid.
I can see by this article this guy must be an "I love me, I have all the certs, but no pratical knowledge guy" This article is a waste of time, I think he has no clue what he's talking about, and would probably need to read a book it install any RAM or Video Card. How do people like this get in a postition where their opinion is actually wanted? The good thing is that any Tech worth his pay will immediatly recongnize this article is biased and inherintly fabricated. His numbers don't add up and, I think he needs to factor softcost into them. A tech adding RAM and a video card only takes 2 maybe 4 minutes, spending the same amount of time sitting at his desk on/. cost the company the same.
I think alot of people are missing the point. You won't use this for three seperate systems. You can use mirrors on the left and right to make 1 LCD panel become a three monitor system. This could lower the cost of multi monitor systems.
I imagine you could write a resident program in VB.net to either move the scroll to the left or add another scroll to the left.. I've never really thought of it.. maybe I'll try it for fun... It can't be that hard.
I use my 4-gig to install apps like office and adobe VNC winzip. on remote client pc's. heck, it's even faster than installing from a utility partition on a 100-meg network. I would love to be able to put a ton more apps on it. i would like to actually maube use ghost to backup an entire computer while in the field. now, I'm stuck to a usb-ide converter....

Are we really concerned that a government screener is going to learn about our toilet habits by listening to a phone call then use that information to embarrass us? Is what they have to say so secretive yet innocent. Remember this is ONLY international phone calls. The ACLU needs to be disolved..

WTF Seagate's have allways been CRAP.. I compare Seagae quality to that of old Cyrix Proccesors, Everyone I have EVER had has burnt out/quit working. Maxtor is the only Drive I Use because I have never had a failure. I use desktop drives at home that run 24-7, and I've never seen anthing better. I use Seagate SCSI sever Drives at work and replace them, on a regular basis.. The only way I woudl use seagate at home is if I were uploading Digital content to the internet and wanted them crash as soon as the feds lifted my pc.
But thats just my opinion...

Anyone can say give an estimate with such a broad range, it's just stupid. It takes someone a little more educated to say that it woudl cost between 2.2 and 2.5 million.. Come on.. quit makeing stupid broad guesses..
You have a laptop...If it has wireless just drive through any apartment complex and get a wireless connection.. it will probably be a Linksys router/firewall.. Download updates... Touchdown..
