It looks really cool, but not very useful...
I think I'm sticking to folders in a tree view for now. When working with a few houndred files at the same time, it's not like this thing makes it easier to find anything.
Version 5? Heh, you can't judge Opera 8 based on the impression you got from version 5.. It has improved loads since then.
In my opinion, this is bigger news than Firefox. Firefox is hyped. It's an ok browser, and sure, extensions are cool. But with Opera i don't really need extensions. All the ones i usually install for FF, Opera has built in. And they are faster and more compatible.
The exeption is adblock. But Opera has ways to block adds aswell, either with filters or the normal hosts file. And in any case, when adblock removes the adds, the site tends to look distorted. When the popups are removed, and if you like, gifs and flash aswell, the ads arent really THAT annyoing. And for the built in ads: I've been using Opera for years, with ads, as they never really bothered me. A few days ago i decided to buy it anyway, and seriously, 25$ (student price) isn't much money...
by adding new tools for visitors to save and organize links to Web pages they find through the company's online search engine
Things like that is exactly why I DON'T like them... Google is a good searchengine, and that's what I want. Nothing more, and nothing less. Bookmarks I have in my browser. And Amazon's new search isn't any better. If I want to search for images, I go to the image search. I don't want them next to my text-searches. Altavista seems to have understood this, as they are now more like Google than they used to.
Reminds me of a story i heard when i had workpractice in an IT-department.
There was this weird woman working at home that was going to get a computer, so two of the apprentices went down to set it up. When they was done she started to complain about the "radiation" that she could "feel". The tech people didn't really know what to do, but ended up partly/completly covering the monitor, keyboard, mouse and case (which even was a double-case to reduce noise) with tinfoil!
It didn't end there though, as the mouse still was the biggest source of this radiation. They got her a new one, which she accepted as ok. But this new mouse was cordless! If anything was radiating, it would be that one...
When I was there she got a new computer (tinfoil covered of course), so they brought the old one back to the offices and decided to hang it up on the wall.:-P

Read the text?
Users have to pay for each track they download, but sharing songs they've purchased from Peer Impact earns them credits they can spend on the service.
So if you spend a lot of bandwidth, you get songs for free. Sounds good to me..

For once I'm more secure with my anicent 2.4.18 kernel!
All Nokia phones have that feature. Probably many other vendors too.
german? :-|
All the windowsupdates and servicepacks have removed all the good'ol bugs, so they just need another reload before the huge longhorned one arrives...
