For me, the most annoying bug in Thunderbird is the fact that the 'No new messages' blurp in the corner of the client only stays for two seconds after checking, so you're left wondering if it checked or not if you miss that short moment.
So save the OLD, no longer valid password for future comparison purposes.
Still a terrible idea (Oh hey, this one was 'sickofthis13', let's try 'sickofthis14') but better than keeping part of an active, valid password open for anyone to see.
Imagine if you found out that Trump's password started with 'make*****************'... what do you think the full password is?
Using UDP in a game like, say, Overwatch or Team Fortress doesn't really help much if you keep hitting latency spikes of a couple of seconds because your ISP doesn't like Blizzard or Valve.
Nvidia already has a decent amount of experience with physics calculations through PhysX. They have experience with creating boards that can do a LOT of computations very quickly in their graphics cards - enough so that it's how stuff like Bitcoin got started.
Now they're putting some cars on the road to see what works and what doesn't. At a guess, they want to create a system that can quickly calculate a dozen or so steering solutions in case of an emergency, then choosing the one with the least collateral damage based on physics calculations. Why just hit the brakes if you can win another couple of feet of minimized braking distance by applying more braking force to one side and turning the wheel, effectively causing the car to come to a skidding sideways halt?
I suspect a company like Nvidia aren't in it to create actual autonomous vehicles. They want to get one or two really great ideas, patent them, and earn money from that particular piece of tech or program.
The business model of ISPs is undermining the concept of intellectual property, then. Without the internet you can't download pirated music and software.
The card likely has a unique ID, otherwise the system falls apart. This ID is flagged as having no credit card attached, which is a curiosity.
The card is used in cities A(delaide), S(ydney) and C(anberra). Cross-reference ATM withdrawals on cards NOT attached to an Opal card in those cities within, say, two hours of the Opal card being used.
Bam, after four or five withdrawals the Man has narrowed the list down to very few suspects.
And if the government offered their own homemade OS, not only would it likely be full of security holes due to a lack of decades of expertise in making software, who would honestly TRUST that OS?
In Denmark there is a system called NemID (EasyID, if you want to translate it) which is used for ALL COMMUNICATION with the authorities, banks, etc.
And as of 2018 they're phasing out the physical one-time pads in favor of a smart phone app. I assure you, using a smart phone is something Danish citizens are very soon FORCED to do.
He may have considered it alright to do the time in a BRITISH jail after a trip through the BRITISH justice system because he's BRITISH and was in BRITAIN.
The next generation of self-driving cars will be able to run a hundred different braking and steering simulations in a fraction of a second. There is never going to be a 'HAS to hit someone' situation in real life.
It might cost a lot of the humorous one-liners, though. Many of those are posted by people that are just skimming through the summary and comments without really caring all that much.
How many of those things contaminate an entire apartment building so much the best option is to burn it to the ground without allowing residents to collect their belongings? Hell, without sending firefighters in hazmat suits in to collect a few items from each apartment that are irreplaceable?
Odd. I found Sims 3 to be a very relaxing experience, especially once I had World Adventures and started turning my mansion into a museum. It was almost zen-like finishing collections and getting everything to sit just right.

That's what a locked box is for, along with the pen and paper you'd use ANYWAY.
At least then you have the cash on hand. Imagine the potential for credit card abuse with the power out and shops just taking down card numbers.
Who said anything about math?

Oh, and by the way, it's not France that has a language police. Not only are you clueless, you're ignorant as well.
https://www.thelocal.fr/galler...
Just a quick Google for 'french language police'. Just recently they were in the news for wanting a different French word for 'smartphone'.
6 million million dollars?
20 million million dollars?
Isn't million just shortened to a single M?
The problem with defending civil rights is you spend most of your time defending scoundrels and criminals.

Maybe they doctored the videos of his FAILED launches instead, and he's actually the most successful self-made rocket man ever?
You have no idea how dangerous steam is.
It's at its most dangerous during the Summer and Winter sales.
In this case it's simple.

Lidar works a little differently from your eyes, though.
WHEN it works.
While not a perfect analogy, which is worse: Life in prison or the death sentence?
The driver gets more than a bent fender.
The driver gets years of therapy and recurring nightmares of KILLING SOMEONE.

How many people die ONLY because of lead exposure?
How many people die ONLY because of smoking?
How many people die ONLY because of diabetes?
And so on and so forth. I'm more interested in the compound effects of multiple dangerous situations, eg. lead exposure AND smoking and so on.

Well, that can be gamed by shady customers setting up a ping script to that IP that fires every 20 minutes or so.
