I potentially think that it might be concievable if nothing goes wrong then my hypothesized predictions could pose a real, true, emergence for our futeristic model in global technologies.
Thats like trying to imagine what two billion one dollar bills looks like...it ain't happening, now what will happen is my heart would stop if I had one of these.
Actually, with the way computer prices drop and the speed at which newer versions come out, I expect this computer to be out-done by Dell in about three weeks;)
Agreed...At home my computers are restricted so you can't utilize IE...you are forced to use mozilla. And being in the IT department at work I can install anything I want, but since one part of our website (key for me) is not exactly Mozilla extreme friendly, I need to use IE and thusly i use IE at work all the time...though our marketing dept uses Firefox:D (thats cause the marketing department managers husband is an IT geek)...
Yea the only reason, imho, to purchase from a major brand name vendor like Dell is for a laptop. Only because it is not really feasible to build them yourself.
Now just for S&G I built a desktop from Dell, and they wanted 2500 for a computer that would not compare to what I could do for 1500 if I built it myself (including buying xp home). My 1500 price includes SCSI hardware.:D
Maybe with the risk of nuclear power they will take extra precautions (they should have in the first place - but this might give more incentive).
What I worry about is the radiation effect of sitting 20 feet away from this nuclear reactor for an extended period of time...basically shielding, redundency shielding, and then some more shielding.
They can probably leave the engine/reactor in space when the ship plans to land back on Earth.
Can't they also send the nuclear material in really dense containers? Maybe someone knows if it is possible for them (logistics wise) to process nuclear material in space? Nuclear material, in its natural element, is not so dangerous. So if we could transport it to space in its an "inert" form, and modify it to something useful - then that would be cool.
No no you don't understand, since a sub its underwater, the radiation from it blowing up is harmless. We can blow up as many nuclear bombs/reactors in the water as we went with no reprocussions.
There is this cool card (Magic card) by a company called Rogev. Everything you do on the computer is reset the moment you reboot the computer. So someone could have installed a virus, formatted the hard drive, viewed porn, etc.. The moment you reboot the computer, its restored to normal.
Put one of these bad boys in a computer then tell each user to reboot the computer and you are good to go. No more internet history, virus problems, someone deleting a portion of the OS, etc.
As for the normal humdrum security "flaw" of google search bar - it seems like a tool designed for the majority of computers out there - where specific people use the given computer (family members, co-workers)...Public computer owners can opt to not install the search bar.
lol.
Warmer temps = tendency for people to get sleepy. The reason optimal temperature is around 69-72 is that a cooler temp will help keep people awake.
Again, those that are cold can always add more clothing, those that are warm can only take so much off....I do not think it would be appropriate to come to the office in a bathing suit and t-shirt.
Here is a link to a site stating optimal office temperature between 69-73 degrees. Here
Now I did do a study in college (don't have the resources as it was a while ago) and I also came up with the statistic that 69 degrees is optimal. For those that are cold - you can always add more clothing, while those that are hot (typically men get hotter then women) can only take so much clothing off...especially in many offices where men are required to wear a shirt, tie and potentially a suit jacket.
I try and keep the office temp at around 69. When it goes above 71 *I* do start to get uncomfortable.
So that $100 PC....will that include a full version of Win XP, full version of Office XP (lets be generous Home edition), and other productivity software?
Oh wait lets not forget that software, once produced only requires an investment of a DVD.
On this $100 PC will the the software total a cost of say $30 and the rest of the cost of the PC (hardware) will be an additional $70?
And why is it that the third world countries only reap these benefits? Who is footing the bill? Does that mean I will have to pay more on my computer. I may not live in a third world country, but I should not have to buy someone in India a computer so he/she can ANYHOW take my job in the future.
The real problem is - you will never see a $100 PC because MS produced OS and OFfice cost more then $100.
What a jackass!
He already flew in the first episode of this season, and floated in the first episode of season 1. ANd the one episode with the Tornado (end of season two maybe) he sorta flew towards Lana. ;)
That explains why they don't want to use the guy from Smalleville...they actually like him and don't want him to suffer the curse.
They should really use the guy from Smalleville... a much better choice - even though he is younger looking then the mild mannered report who looked around late 20's early 30's in the Superman series.
Personally, I am terribly annoyed by TVs in restaurants and airports: they grab my attention over and over, no matter how hard I try to ignore them, and they distract me from the conversations that I should be having with my human companions
Sit with your back to the TV. There are many people who go to bars and restaurants in hopes of watching a game in a public setting, or just enjoying the distraction. It is not a patrons right to turn off the TV that they do not own. If you do not like it you can complain to management, if management says "no" to your request, then you can leave. If you are that bored that the TV is bothering you, find a friend who can keep your attention ---personally a gorgeous bruenette would keep my attention over any TV set.
SS is a tax ID. It is also referred to as an EIN number (though Tax ID and EIN are generally referred to for businesses) but they are one and the same....in fact businesses typically start with 23-#######...if you notice, this is the same length as a personal SS number of ###-##-####.
Though if your credit is crappy, being able to switch - without the crap leaking over - would be a great thing. Now what you want to do is get yourself classified as a non-profit organization - then you really reap benefits:D
While it does help the process since it is a gov't run program - it is very hard to get the SS department to give out new numbers to people. Even worse, is transferring everything in your life (especially for elderly people who have had a long life and may not remember it all) to the new number.
Very very bad mojo here.
A person utilizing dual monitors so they can have Word on one screen, Aim on the other or some such other purpose is doing it for sheer pleasure. A more practical usage, however, for dual monitors is when using apps like Macromedia Flash. I work within this program and I tell you what, it helps (immensely) to have two monitors so I can have most of my menus open.
I was also at Bloomburg Communications in NY on a school trip. Each person has either a dual or quad monitor setup. It is very important for them to utilize such a setup...each person also has the Herman Miller Aeron chair (drool):D
It all depends on what you need and what you are going to use it for.
Someone needs to explain to me where the Troll factor comes in...please please explain it. The statement was a legitimate statement, not looking to bait anyone, enrage anyone, or hurt anyones feelings. It is a legitimate concern that I would bring up with my local representative (when I see him at the gym)....so how is this a Troll?
I potentially think that it might be concievable if nothing goes wrong then my hypothesized predictions could pose a real, true, emergence for our futeristic model in global technologies.
edit: it's not like having two billion one dollar bills lying around, its like having 42.7 trillion pennies lying around.
Imagine having your own 20-machine

The plot and setting is right from the game.
This should equate to:
Plot: None
Setting: Recycle Alien movie setting

My friend has a BMW X-5 and it's NAV system crashes. He is not sure if it uses windows, does anyone know this?

Step 2: Non-taxable income. Tax deductable benefits. Gov't grants/funding. :)
Step 3: Profit
Step 4: Jail
