You got it wrong, they whine for a logical but stupid reason. If this scheme makes ponography easier to censor, they will have less reason to complain and will have a harder time accomplishing their goal which is it's total removal. They will oppose anything that can bring a statu quo.

The ESRB Gets An 'F'

Apparently, yes. Where I live (Quebec / Canada), ratings are still just a suggestion. Except for alchool, sometimes. But every time I travelled outside of Quebec, I got asked for my cards.
It would get destructed before they could read it and they wouldn't have agreed to give the same freedoms if they wish to spread the code of the missile, duh !:-P
The GPL3 will probably permit the author to include in a software a way to get the source and will force forks to keep that functionality. For instance, if there is a link to the full source code of your PHP app, it must work in all forks.
This means that theorically, if the original authors wanted, you could be required to drop the license on the targets before the missiles.
This could change however, since it was just a draft idea.
A good use of an ad-supported version of an operating system would be as a file server or an embedded controller.
Another use is for someone who have an extremely limited use for Windows. A use not worth paying the retail price for it. For instance, Linux satistifies 99.9% of my need. But I might hear of something that's out for Windows and think "Why not give it a try to see what the fuss is about?". It's not worth spending dollars on a Windows license but disk space is cheap.
Or when someone calls you for help about something and you don't know because you don't have a Window PC in front of you and can't guide them.
They could even make plans for software that's really expensive. When you boot Photoshop (I know it's not a MS product, just imagine they use that plan too), it could ask you if you prefer to lose half of your screen to ads, popups every 10 seconds or a 5 minutes video. I'd chose the video and would go make coffee meanwhile.
the record labels are going to get ahold of this and turn it around to actually produce the music. then it will all sound the same.
wait....
They don't need to turn it around. They just need to make their artists make songs that are very highly ranked by this algorithm. Since it predict by using what actually exists, record label will prevent artists to produce anything new (just like right now but they will have a software to tell them how un-new it is so it will be more precise). This will result in people getting bored of the latest hits as soon as they come out and RIAA blaming piracy for the latest huge drops in sales.
Finally, it will be just like right now but computers will make the process faster.
In Canada, we get the result when one candidate have enough votes counted for that the others can't catch up. We always end up getting the results before the voting period is over. And we don't use plain paper.
I heard on the news that it's fast because the system is 100% uniform.
I don't think any other western democracy allows U.S.-style class actions, and that's because the class action fulfills a role in the U.S. that the government fills in other countries.
I was once sent to the vice principal because I lost my pencil case and when they found it, there was an empty bottle of aspirins in it. He asked me for 15 minutes if it used to contained something I was selling.
There could be a compromise. Microsoft make the anti-spyware but it opens the format for spyware signatures. Think of it like Debian repositories. You could add ad-aware, norton or anybody you trust in your source list. They could even sell a subscription to you if they wish.
Personally, it's the "defender" part that I don't trust. After all, defender was about saving civilians but you ended up shooting half of them by mistake and would die in 3 or 4 level due to the overwhelming number of bad guys.
Lait de poule. Poule is hen and poulet is chicken. I don't see how egg nog is more descriptive. The french version tranlates to "Hen's milk" as opposed to what is often called "Cow's milk". The english version doesn't even talk about milk.
However, in some parts of the province, I've noticed a kind of 'elite' attitude that really bothers me. The whole attitude is summed up in one recurring experience: I walk into a restaurant, I order in French. They respond in English. To me that is probably one of the rudest things a Québecois can do to a Canadian in my position who has spent almost all of his life learning French.
No that's not elitist. Most people think it's easier for you if they try to speak your language the same way you will try to speak their language. And a lot of business I worked at think it's important to speak english to english customers. They consider that since you are the customer they are the one that have to make the effort to speak in the language they are less used to.
Next time, just say you prefer speaking in french.
I did saw elitists however but they aren't a majority. And some regions have a lot more of them than other. For instance, if you try to order an english book in a book store in Bas-Saint-Laurent, they will probably look at you as if you were a traitor to the nation. Lac-Saint-Jean too (probably more). The rest of Quebec is mostly okay.
And the minor reason is that they want to be sure the license works worldwide.
No TLD so far forced people to use it.

What's wrong with boycotting them forever ? It's not like I have to buy from them to get a TV, mp3 player or console.
What are you talking about ? Accessibility comes with third party add-ons. No Microsoft code.
Yup, that's purely the truth and it's purely FUD. In other news, Linux servers are outdownloading Microsoft servers.
I just did and there wasn't anthing from Sony in the sponsored ads section. There was this however : http://www.sonyclassactions.com/

I like the name you gave it. In french, Mal translates to Evil.

You can download them on his website.
You miss "Use of this website signifies your agreement to the Terms of Use" written at the bottom of the page.

The 2 regions I mentioned makes 7% of Quebec's population.
