"WASTING 6 minutes between each attempt to try a different attack pattern on the boss is just annoying."
You should not be playing games with that attitude. If you go in looking to use time wisely, you're not PLAYING a game. Unless you get paid to review games, stop caring about the time wasted, because that's what games are FOR. Wasting time.
You mean punishment for failure, right? Because that's what going back to the last checkpoint is. The game saying "No, you're an idiot, try again." If there was no punishment for your failure you wouldn't be concerned about not dying as much.
And when you get the $5 - $10 in PayPal from a scammer using someone else's credit card number, your PayPal account usually gets suspended if not flat out closed.
That comment about the "CAPTCHA farms" reminds me of a recent experience I've had with the official Steam forums for GTA4. I was trying to search for posts by people who were having the same problem as I was, but the text I had to enter was lime green on a bright background. I couldn't figure it out for the life of me. And getting a new one only made it harder to read.
My question is: If I can't read them, am i a robot?
Those who make content would be paid by members of the the BSA, ESA, RIAA, MPAA, or whoever else likes to pretend they're government agencies. And unless they make that clear in their comment, they'd be shills.
"A shill is an associate of a person selling goods or services or a political group, who pretends no association to the seller/group and assumes the air of an enthusiastic customer...."
If you're such an expert on things, you'd know that downloading copyrighted material does not violate copyright law. Distributing it does. Turn seeding off and you're legal.
I think it's nice that Microsoft is finally trying to keep the UI standard across all their apps, but the Ribbon is really stupid.
It's like they said: "Hey, you know all those menus you've used for 10+ years to do the things you have to do with every document you type? Yeah, we're hiding those. Figure this shit out now, asshole!"
Where I live is surrounded by farms and I'd have to travel 90 minutes either east or west (Albany or Springfield) to get 3G. Rural areas are more likely to be serviced by cable or DSL than have access to 3G, unless they're right next to a large city.
I don't like having my name directly connected to the places I put my email address or even my IM name. I try to make it so that when you google my name you don't find that I spent the better part of the '00s wasting time on/., digg, and various piracy related forums.
And cut out that much money? They'd rather make that cash and be slightly worried about Apple than make NONE of that money and not have to worry about Apple.
It was when gMail first came out. I tried everything I could think of and after everything was taken (including "allnamestaken") I typed this as a joke. It just forwards to my.me email now, though.
And so they can say that they're a religion being oppressed.
Anyone remember a few years ago when the CoS was going on and on about how they weren't a religion, but a way of living your life that meshed with all religions?
If he had one, he'd contact the woman on the internet forum and become 'best friends' with her while also talking to everyone else behind her back about how much of a whore she is.
Or installing 482 addons. Or not knowing how to administrate his machine.
I had an issue where Firefox would freeze for 10-20 seconds when I went to Amazon.com. I disabled my addons and it worked. I figured which one was causing it (some stupid thing so I could watch CNN streams) and removed it. No more problem.
The problem is that HE did something to break Firefox. FF didn't break itself.
So...
"It is the hardcore whiners that try to force their idea of gameplay onto others."
"However, that is not the only way to have fun."
Also, the article was written by someone you would call a hardcore whiner.

Really? Everything I buy ships within 24 hours (unless it's after about 3pm on a Saturday) and I usually get my stuff 24 hours after that.

What specific needs? I'm not disagreeing with you, I'm just curious.
I use my .me address. And to the guy below, .me is the replacement for .mac.

Plus Netflix can now be streamed with a Mac.
If you think that's something Apple would do, I don't think you've ever had anything to do with Apple.
Right now they're talking to the labels to get more DRM-free music in the iTMS.

It's like with a 419 scam. Get the sucker in for a few grand and they're more likely to spend a lot more later.
And so they can say that they're a religion being oppressed.

"Buffering..."
I second the use of Thermaltake. I've never had a problem with anything they make.
After you had 2-3 fail why did you buy 3-4 more?
