Half century? Kennedy is widely acknowledged as the first 'television president' and the debates iwth Nixon were certainly not prohibitively expensive.
They have permission to distruibute works which they own the copyright for.

The graphics in Civ II were definately the best. Functional, but the menus could have done iwth some help.
Just like the graphics in Sim City 2000 were the best because they render quickly allowing a kind of immediacy on mid-scale machines lacking in Sim City 3 or 4.
At least the Pirates! remake has it right.
No, not with your car any longer. When was the last time you looked under the bonnet of a newish car? All sealed up, electronically monitored for extra performance and fuel efficieny. So while we have a better product than we once did, if something goes wrong it really breaks.
It seems confused. Are computers used well in the classroom or not? I wish the article would make a judgement! It didn't really make a point; it appears to me unless computers fill a void that otherwise exists in education, there is no need for them to be used. And, if as one teacher interviewed in the article suggests, it is true that not using technology to assist conducting lessons would be easier, let it be. An engaging teaching style will transcend all whiz-bang computer technology.
Yes, perhaps only a dozen geeks would capitalise upon it themeslves, but they would also write and explain to less technically minded people how they can replicate their mods.
Kind of like Xbox Media Centre, only different,.
I like to htink my time on this earth is worthy of preserving and will provide somebody in the future pleasure to study in the same way as I gain great pleasure out of the histories of the Greeks and Romans. We have technology which can condense data to such a small area, but when we are considering something such as longeivity and the legacy of our generations, do we not look for a solution? Given we can store thousands of books in a milimetre of CD-R, should we not then reduce the efficiency of this space:data ratio to instead ensure our data will last forever.
I think it is one of the major issues facing us.
there are enough great games not independent to keep you occupied.
on the gamecube, which is really the only machine i've been playing, i can count pikmin, viewtiful joe, ikaruga, pn03, resident evil, mario tennis and madden 2003 (which is of course a fantastic game...the first time. i had never owned a madden before this one.)
i havent played a game for a long time until today and they just seem a whole lot more...fresh than they did a few month ago when i was playing more often, probably three or four times a week.
...he also was asked on the Crossfire interview whether he believed a Kerry administration would provide him less comic material to which he asked how could it?
...and these are just the sites that the web doesn't need more of. What ever happened to real JOURNALISM?
Look the word up in a dictionary. I think you'll find something about interpretation.
If he didn't link to these sites (ie if his blog didn't exist) his site wouldn't come up in search results and so the sites he links to would instead.
Blogs rule and are destroying Google and all other search engines I do not use.
I thought a recent slashdot story established that it was impossible to get a decent intnernet connection in the USA as well! At $US105 a month, it seems VERY steep. I wonder how many people could afford that.
I pay $AU50 for what I've found to be a true unlimited 256/64 connection. It's $70 per month for 512/128.
To allow for diversity. What if a band feels it needs 10, 20, 100 members to fulfill its artistic destiny? Shouldn't they be allowed?>

A used car costs more to maintain presumably. Parts will still be needed periodically.

Amen, but it's a good indication of what people who listen to music on a computer listen to...14-30 year old internet users.

They get it with MSN mostly. I've seen kids who couldn't type until they got on instant messenger programs. Crazy stuff that.

Pipes are now faster, bandwidth is now cheaper.

A new form of DOS attack? If the lawyers go broke, they are denied the ability to provide their service :)

Apple is a huge conglomerate.
Interesting. Mod up.
Somebody would take pleasure in destroying it.
My school called chess and debating sports. It was a joke.
