Agreed. That is a bit too fine a drill-down. br.
Yet, it does seem that there must be an efficient and effective drill-down point, like, perhaps, specific programs with effective returns from those programs.
I would agree with this sentiment. Yet, would also like to point out another caveat...
88% discrepancy in any study, on any pool of subjects, seems worthy of a closer investigation.
There are, in fact, way too may misdiagnosed cases coming from our supposedly high quality medical profession.
I have, in fact, encountered a few shitty doctors here in the USA. One of them at the Mayo Clinic in AZ!
How about improving our medical system: Require second opinions for those relevant cases.
Then, after the diagnosis has been 100% confirmed, every involved diagnosing doctor gets a stat assigned; a running count of Accurate, Not, and Partial/Incomplete.
Then, patients can review a doctors stats to see who the incompetents are.
I also have a great plan and intention of building out internet infrastructure!
Give ME $45million, too!
I promise to give most to my CEO and shareholders. Do a shitty job, squander the rest, and then demand more (as $45M is not enough).
On a serious note:
Profitable companies need to spend their OWN profits to make more money.
That is how for-profit invesments work.
If it fails, then your risk was called in!
I'll bet that $45M would be better invested in educating people to build out this infrastructure and bring tax revenue IN!
I get it: producers need to pay for content. So, reasonable income streams seem fair.
Key word is REASONABLE.
Here, advertisers are likely paying more than reasonable since the service provider (Google) is forcing viewers to be subjected to bullshit, mind-numbing ads.
Herein lies a major issue: We, the people, reserve the right to protection from the offensive, insulting, mind-twisting ads intended to brainwash (as much as possible) viewers into buying (or even buying in to) the ads product (or thinking).
It is WRONG to be forced to endure an ad that subliminally suggests things like buying that car will catapult me into a class where I can get hot dates and a luxurious lifestyle!
I reserve the RIGHT to skip any ad that I want to.
So, a different model needs to be developed for paying, FAIRLY, for content.
Whitewashing this based on statistics is bullshit!
ANY percentage still hurts somebody. ESPECIALLY when there is a far more reasonable solution:
1) Don't overbook, and;
2) Don't refund missed seats, and;
3) Last minute empty seats can be resold to standby passengers for the same rate originally sold.
Airlines OBVIOUSLY overbook with the HOPES of executing the more expensive tickets.
If seat 7A sells for $400, then re-sells at $500, the airline will opt to bump the $400 seat.
It is a crime against humanity to make people suffer over a corporate entity bottom line. PERIOD!
This is stranger than fiction. We must not be getting the whole story.

This is a totally irrelevant, and irresponsible, reporting!
As many of my fellow readers here have accurately pointed out, this is the proverbial comparing apples to oranges.
Other tax structures around the globe offer differing services, like healthcare and other social services.
Add in the fees for things others are getting and you will see how expensive life in the USA really is!
And, what about the military (NATO too) we tend to overspend on here in the USA; which many other countries do NOT spend, and rely on us for?
It is totally irresponsible for any reporter, or slashdot contributor, to allow such bullshit, incomplete stats to potentially mislead readership!
SHAME ON Y'ALL!!!
Actually, the REAL reason for the rise in sleep interest are the possibilities of brainwashing citizens on a larger scale, and via a more easily manageable (tool).
Wait a minute! Where was I yesterday?!
Didn't I used to hate that politician?!
Why does scientific fact no longer matter?!
Chances are that Millenials and XGen-ers have no clue what it was like back in the day when times were simpler.
Some folks do yearn for those days.
I remember enjoying the times, yet also being excited about the possibilities and promises of the potential future.
The thing I miss the most is the general 'honesty' and openness of the industry back then.
Now a days, it has all become a matter of capitalistic profits.
I miss integrity, responsibility, and honesty of working for a harmonious society.
Now, it seems that we have armed monkeys with a machine gun; and corporate inhuman entities with potentially insurmountable oppressive methods.
Let's get educated and use those tools to better society as a whole.
I do not get it. I presumed the title meant that it might support life. Guess I should read the content before jumping to conclusions.
Damn the media! Stop leading me on! Stop making me look like an idiot, and work your titles more content-relative!
Oh, wait. The title IS accurate for the content.....
Seems to me that Mars has possibilities. Even terra-forming seems potentially possible.
Such an endeavor would take a long time, so the sooner we start, the better!
It is important when you think about it:
By the time we get to this planet, we all will evolve to tolerate 700 degree days!
This is obviously the Republican agenda!
WOW! Aren't those guys insightful?!
This is only going to widen the rift between the oppressed constituent and the oppressing Corporate Oligarchy pulling all the USA strings!
Face it. This will only lead to a global civil war.
How about we just sue the producers for releasing content without subtitles - which discriminated against the hard of hearing?!
Yea. I know. This is a bit of a stretch, yet so is being a prick about a free feature. The producer should get the master, though!
Yet, we all know where this is going. It's all about the $$$$!
Agreed. That is a bit too fine a drill-down.

What happens when an update that works only on newer CPUs is run on a Zeffy-hacked Win 7 system?
Enter the "Google Doouble Deecker" burger...
And I digress from here.

Just another case of unqualified, idiot law enforcement staff.

Oh, but we were so much older then. We're younger than that now.

Warm up your rocket!

Appropriate. 'Crackin' is cocaine free-based. And we all know that cocaine is 'the big lie'!
Perhaps this explains Trump et al...
Wait until they find out that Dark Matter is is a similar aberration!
Spacetime was compressed so that this prank is actually on Apr 1.
Fact check this! It is NOT the case.
More than tech issues, this selection threatens to set society back with his stance on abortion, and other Rights issues!
Get your gun! You will likely need it for the coming revolution!!!
