  1. It's not the cost to mfgr the drug, it is the research and approval expenses that are expensive.

The more rare the disease, the fewer sales, the higher the cost needs to be to justify research in the first place.

    That is, in many cases.
However, drug companies tend to abuse this model to reap unreasonable profits in many areas.
For example, the drug known as Harvoni, used to treat Hep C, a relatively non-rare affliction, costs ~$90,000 for a 8 week regimen!
That's 56 pills @ ~$1607/pill! That works out to over $586K/yr (yet two 12 week courses is considered worst case needs).
And there are lots of people with Hep C!

And then there is the Epi-Pen debacle!
Point is that drug companies definitely need to be reigned-in. Period.

It seems to me that there is a bit of confusion regarding the issue of ISPs and privacy.

According to a US Rep, Costello, (R) PA, it is the FTC, and NOT the FCC, that is to regulate privacy concerns here.
    Here's a link to his explanation: https://iqconnect.lmhostediq.c...

Seems to me that we, the People, have allowed too much confusion and B/S from our political parties, such that it allows them to get away with too much.

I say we start purging the system of band-aid laws and get serious about being FOR the People!

Educate more Americans for more contemporary jobs (via government spending on higher education).

There's 'good' cops and 'bad' cops, of course. As we all know, 'bad' cops make life for us, AND the 'good' cops, tough!
Problem is when 'bad' cops get one of these and start the escalation.

Better idea: Spend the monies on ensuring all cops come to work in a good, happy mood. Perhaps ensure that each has at least 2 fully satisfying orgasms every day, one must be within 3 hours of the next shift.

One major contributor to the public's lack of enthused reaction is the absolute lack of real responsibility on the part of the media - especially mainstream media.

Media has become a tool of those with the power. Electronic media, in particular, is a powerful tool that does brainwash and brow-beat the public into submission, while leaving a feeling that just hearing it is enough!
