I have looked into getting it published someday and I have run into the elitist attitudes of some publishers. I like the point in the press release where the publishing house suggests that they go to a you-pay-for the book to be published type of house.

I was in the surface navy for 6 years and all we did underway was game. We had regular groups and each person in the group took it upon themselves to buy one complete game system to take on our 6 month voyage. We would play D&D, White Wolf, ICE, and others. Some of my best times gaming were leaning against a steel bulkhead and fantasizing we were in some grassy field about to be overrun by kobolds.
Exxon uses them for speed pass so you can pay for gas. McDonalds is experimenting with RFID's for paying at the drive through. For years now turnpikes and toll roads have had ezpass that allows you to pay tolls by barely slowing down. From what I have seen on the horizon RFID's are only going to grow and become more prevelent.
Some might say that the rework ruins the original film. Lucas himself says that if he had the technology then that he has now he would have never done them that way. These are some great story fixing things, and I look forward to the DVD release. I just wonder if they will have a "old-School" version for the purists, like they did with the VHS tape release a few years ago.

Call me biased because I was a Sony employee for a couple years in the Retail Sales Division... I want to set the record straight a bit, DLP's micro mirrors have a higer probability of breakdown than plasma. DLP is _not_ made by Sony. They make Plasma and LCD projection. Plasma has a lifespan of around 10,000 hours. After that the gas loses life, kinda like an old neon tube. LCD's can pop pixels. Nothing is as long term as the good old CRT. Problem is to make a large CRT you need a long neck at the back of the screen. This prevents most CRT's to stay around 40" else they cant make it through the door of your house.
A similar thing happened to me regarding copyrights. I had a historical website that detailed a particular civil war units exploits across the Northeast. Several years before my site was published a lawyer got ahold of a copy of a manuscript that he had reprinted. Being he is a lawyer he wrote up everything he required to have the copyright for that manuscript put into his name. Move forward now to when I build my site. I went through a Civil War database to find out who was killed or wounded in a particular battle and where/when this battle took place. Being that the information was also in this manuscript (different format I might add) this lawyer threatened me several times with a lawsuit. One of his threats was " I am a high priced lawyer and you 'can't afford to litigate this'"
So how is it our legal system can allow such obvious wrongs to go to the ones with the most money?
How can a person "OWN" history or GPS locations for that matter.
GO figure. Hope mr Adams doesnt sue me for my nick... I bet where he is hes awefully worried.
Well I can agree,
I did exactly the same thing with UO, gave up and followed suit with EQ. I recently logged back into EQ after not playing for 6 Months ( I was a beta tester for both). And it didnt even interest me in the slightest. Since quitting EQ I have a very serious girlfriend, and I bought a Sailboat to get away from reality for a bit (or maybe get back into reality)
All I know is video games expecially MMORPG's can be addictive. Its a real addiction that caused me to quit one job so I could get unemplyment and play my character full time to get some arbitrary level that just didnt matter.
Amen
