...the only reason there aren't more cases like this is because almost everybody is using P2P.
Kind of like the old adage that goes something like "Discipline your child often. Even if you don't know what they did, they do." And no, I have no children. Yet. But it would seem clear that the RIAA really needs to look over their methods for collecting evidence. Didn't they end up suing a supposedly innocent Mac-user once, because they didn't realize that on a DSL or Cable subscription, you have dynamic IP? Maybe they need to be taught that *everybody* do not have computers, and *everybody* with computers are not using them to l33ch mp3s.
How would you respond if someone accused you as being the reason for hours upon hours of neglected work, laundry, yardwork, homework, pets, spouses, wifes, dental appointments...? *guilty of all of the above*
Blu-Ray isn't Sony though, it was co-developed by most of the hardware makers on the DVD Forum, save NEC and Toshiba, I think, which made a competing format with 40% less capacity.
According to a conference call I attended with Gartner, the minds behind Blu-Ray is Sony/Philips, with the backing of Disney. The DVD Forum (Tosh et al) are touting the HDDVD. From what I understood, the HDDVD format is not as technically advanced as Blu-Ray, but a lot easier/cheaper to manufacture on existing equipment.
That is about completely and utterly wrong. Still going strong after 3 seasons. Funny, but yet not as disturbing as Salad Fingers (total of 6 episodes there). I may have to buy the DVDs. "And I though I told you to stop making up mythological creatures!"
I think they don't really escape the black hole per se. They're just very high-frequency/high-energy radiation that leaves the super-heated gas BEFORE it 'falls over' the event horizon.
Here's a Journal entry about previously unseen quasars (black holes, really) that was found by Spitzer, just by looking for infra red signatures instead of X-ray.
I may be dense, but how ti $926 less than $800?
When is the first media due out?
Don't forget the polar bears roaming the streets and the free love.
I think it's VGER.
Oh absolutely! I'm sorry - I figured that was such bad advice it would be obviously sarcastic...

No, but since TFP doesn't refer to Access and Excel, that's irrelevant. It specifies 'spreadsheet' and 'database'.
Exactly my point. Can the same patent holder come after OO.org? I'm not familiar enough with OO.org to know if a similar feature exists in it.
Is OpenOffice affected by this?

Sorry Rob - I just couldn't help myself. :D
...and make better music.
Worse, the policy represents an attack on market-based competition, which in turn will hurt innovation. The state has a disaster in the making.
*cough* Excuse me?
Not to mention that it's spelled wives... but that's not important right now...

I wonder if the enforcement emails were sent using PINE Is Not Elm?
Like a mental DoS?

Compare an interstellar bumpy ride to a ride down I-35 around Kansas City, MO...

Old sysadmin wisdom: Never GREP a BISON by the INODE.
Ooh, and if your coworkers were mentally or physically injured (spat Pepsi upon), you can make it a class action law suit.
Rugburns, you mean as in "your" instead of "you're", and "I'd" instead of "I;d"?
Uh, you're absolutely correct. :) That GRB must have scrambled some synapses.
