There was a slashdot article awhile back about an SAP implementation at Waste Management that went bad.
Similar situation to this one.
I really think large companies buying these systems are going to start recording the sales presentations, burn them to DVD, and insist on including them in the contract.
That way the sales representations BECOME part of the whole agreement, and are actionable.
To whom the right of free speech extend? One side said that it was aimed at individuals, the other said that corporations and PACs are formed by individuals, so it should extend to them.
Why then, as the decenting opinion pointed out, was it necessary to extend the right to the press, which is also created by individuals?
The case itself was about a political action committee that paid for an anti-hillary clinton movie to be produced, and wanted to pay 1.2 million dollars to the cable system in DC to put it for free, on their video on demand system, right before the primaries.
Funny how they though Hillary was the only who could beat them in '08.
There was no reason it would die at 90 days, it was just a great job of managing expectations on the part of the public and within the organization.
Every time I see a picture of it, I think how they could have designed it a bit more ergonomically. It looks like a committees designed each part without talking to each other.
Based on what they know now, they should be able to design a better, more sustainable version for the next round. Maybe get some Apple designers in there...
I also get annoyed with this style of programming. While I try to while things in more explicit form when using jQuery to make debugging easier for myself, pretty much all the examples on the web are written in this terse, yet not so readable form.
My first question would be if "optimized" pc's are better, why is everyone buying the non-optimized ones?
Shouldn't it be harder to get the "better" ones?
I'm always amazed at the shift in their sales ploy after you look like you're going to buy something. It goes from "This is the best on the market" to "this thing is a piece of crap. You better get an extended warranty." Uhm, didn't you just tell me how great this thing was?

I've been reading this explanation in the chinese news sites, and have been waiting for someone to post it here, comrade.
Good luck with that. You'll need it.
(The Drexel Dragons, not the Chinese ones)
Go Dragons!
Now down to 1 point.
Yeah, I just noticed that. The post went from 2 points to four points, back to 2 in 15 minutes.
Here's how you bake that statistic:
A) Only count people who got a job
B) In their major
C) Use the best average salary from the past decade
Why all the pro-China posts lately on Slashdot?
We getting astro-turfed by Red China?
They claimed, of course they didn't do it, and seem to never mention by name the laws that Google must abide by.
Screw them.
How do you say "Propaganda" in Chinese?
is what it should be called.
This is not exactly what they said.

Really? "Password" as password? I'm so disappointed.
(wait, nevermind. talking politics on Slashdot is a bad idea.)
"Ergonomics is the science of designing the job, equipment, and workplace to fit the worker."
In this case, the worker is the robot.

Anyone who has ever looked at a weblog knows this.
Building an AI program based on neurons is like writing a book review by counting describing the length and frequency of words in the book.
Of the flip side, someone got a sweet grant and job security for them and their peers. Whoo Hoo!
I would love to make a "Bob's Country Bunker" reference, but it would only make sense if you go to the Philly Folk Fest.

Porn.
Replacements already exist that have "load-bearing ability and also naturally fuses with the existing bone"
Although the use of wood instead of demineralized bone sounds new.
Can have Tag?
directly with no carrier subsidy and lock-in
The word you are looking for is financing.
Yes, they are forcing you into a financing agreement, not telling you the rate, and not allowing you to do it yourself.
While I'm not all that impressed with the Google phone, I think the strategy for releasing it is brilliant.
Here's the solution:
Use .PDF for documents WITHOUT javascript, and use a new extension for docs WITH javascript.
Users/admins can handle what app opens what format on their end, or disallow one format all together.
Done.
Wow, that's exactly what I was talking about.
I think the AMA would have a heart attack if something like that was available here.
