The web will be impossible to monitor. Millions of emails to scan would be too much of a monumental task to analyze and read each one of them. Simply impossible. For humans anyways. If computers were brought in, they may be able to do it but it would take a lot of time to scan everything communicated over the internet.
If the sound can still be played out of my speakers, I can still record the sound, (line out >> line in) save it as an MP3, and do as I wish with it. There won't ever be a way to stop somebody from copying music unless they stop making music able to be listened to.
It's taken them years and millions of attacks (i don't think that's to high) and they're FINALLY doing something about it. Way to keep up with the game M$.
There's plenty of Diamond Dust that comes off of diamonds used to make jewelry. They gotta inspect the diamond then cut it to its shape. There's gotta be some useable dust there.
At my school I'm in a Cisco networking class training to be a Cisco Certified Networking Assistant (CCNA) at the end of two years. It's considered a college level course and can be taken anywhere due to the fact its online. Anyways, I like the class but I want more hands-on action. I want to see somebody actually managing a network. There's a lot more than just plugging in a bunch of ethernet cables and switches and routers. I learn by doing. Hands-on is better for me. Anyways, I may not be able to take the second course next year due to the fact it's not popular enough. There's only 9 kids in my class already and I'd say 5 at most by the end of the semester. So although it's not that popular, I still like it.
I honestly don't get any spam on my main email account, my Gmail. Anything that does get forwarded to the Spam folder under Gmail I mark as not spam because it's usually a newsletter. My yahoo account however isn't so lucky. I check it sparingly now and it usually has many spam messages. Yet again, I've had that one for a much longer amount of time.
As long as there's a signal to a bunch of satellites in space or event units in the building acting as satellites, it should be fine with the right hardware and software.
No kidding. But think about it, no more MS products on internet, more viruses not towards MS. It may be MS all over again as far as viruses go except on a much smaller scale.
I remember hearing something about clouds on Mars. Extremely faint but still existant. It rains lightly, the panels get cleared.
It's either that or some wind came by.
I'd go with the latter one there.
I know I saw this over a year ago somewhere. The idea has been out for a long time.

Or, you can use the bugmenot plugin. Assuming you're using firefox.

Nice. Luckily for you, your last name starts with two A's. My first name is the same way being Aaron.

"unpatched machine will have a virus on it within minutes when connected to their own internal network"
What a surprise. They're using M$ products, most likely without spyware scanners at all. Not to mention IE.
I like the guy who uses linux in that M$ lab.
Then tux is in there? What's next?!
He deserves one for that!
I'd go with just fuck 'em. I've always liked linux more.
/.ed NASA? That's saying something....
It's obvious slashdot will either kill or reduce to rubble any compuer not designed to handle thousands of users at once.
This is a good excuse for all of the kids who want GTA but parents won't let them get it.
Since it's been out for a long time, I'm surprised it _wasn't_ cracked before now. Maybe I missed the news....

I'm still using one to run my website off of. An extremely old dell with a PII.
Yes. It's from a recent editon of Wired Magazine I scanned in. I should've posted that.
I still give credit to pong for inventing it.

Have fun. ;)

No kidding.
That's freaky.
