  1. BS on Al-Qaeda Hacker Caught · · Score: 5, Insightful
"They" don't "hate us for our freedom", but for the fact that we encourage their governments to keep boots on their necks. "They" hate us because, in propping up governments they despise, our militaries are invited to their lands. "They" hate us because we are seen as keeping them down.

"They" being, of course, the "terrorists". The vast majority of muslims, i imagine, just wish we'd stop fscking around with their lives so they can get on with them (which might include participating in some of that freedom we all enjoy).

But whatever - let 'em remain mystified and befuddled if it keeps the signal-to-noise at a convenient level.

I felt the same way immediately. But, what the heck - they (supposedly) have got an evaluation kit available. And from the article:

Light Blue Optics will be demonstrating the miniature PVPro evaluation kit at the 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona, February 13-16 2006.

So, if you're interested, here's the link to the 3gsm conference website. Maybe with some digging around, we might find a lead on more objective info (and maybe some pics) somewhere.

A requirement for what? Leaving? What recourse would they have if you refused? I'm not trolling; i'm serious. This is like an ex-cop who points out all the undercover cops to the drug dealers. I'm not sure this analogy fits here. Maybe if the narcs are going around breaking the law and trampling on innocent peoples' civil rights, and the drug dealers only find out about the narcs because the ex-cop goes public with that information. Or something like that. Analogies usually suck.
