  1. Re:Begin rant on Firefox Tops Microsoft Browser Market Share For First Time (arstechnica.com) · · Score: 2

He is probably both. Most peeps don't want to READ. If it isn't a shiny icon or picture then most peeps are lost. To be able to use a computer yet not be able to fucking READ is called an oxymoron. The PC was MADE to READ. Also it was made to WRITE, which coincidentally they cannot do either!!!

Lots of fanboiz here. History is a channel on cable. I have been running Portable Firefox for about 10 years (I think), and never had a problem really. It has been copied to countless machines I've had and never an issue. Only way to browse. Add on a few extensions and you have better than military grade software. So many idiots and so few cliffs.

Just because we renamed slavery to minimum wage doesn't mean anything has changed. The American dream is to convince someone to work for slave wages while you rake in profits from their work.

Not bullshit. I've seen it happen with my own eyes. Was nothing random about it. The software TOLD the user it was deleting it and why. And the why is because it said the files were not legitimate and had to be removed or else iTunes wasn't going to install. Believe what you want. I'm too old to lie. Can't remember them anymore so found it pointless. Too old to care what folks think about what I say.

Try MythTV. Although it is really a DVR of sorts, it is also a good music player and cataloguer. If you have your music ripped and tagged proper then this program is pretty nifty.

  16. iTunes Deletes Unverified Music. on Apple Says It Doesn't Know Why iTunes Users Are Losing Their Music Files (theverge.com) · · Score: -1, Flamebait

If you didn't rip the music with Apple software then when you install iTunes it scans your computer for music it didn't rip and will delete it. I've seen this happen on clients machines after having to reinstall iTunes. Now this has been a while back (3 years or so), so I don't know if it still has that 'feature' but that is what it sounds like.
