RE: "who does not expect a full self-driving car in his lifetime (he’s 49)."
Provided he's not suicidal, here is a man who does not understand the potential growth from exponential progress.
I think you should tell them at the outset "It's really easy for you to cheat on your assignments. That's also a horrible way to learn. I've got an honor system, don't cheat. If you do cheat you will learn less, and therefore be wasting your own time."
If you need something to base grades on, you need something else that you can watch then do or they can't cheat on somehow.
I called up hover.com. Spoke with someone on the phone, gave her my godaddy login info. She did all of the work for me. I'm done with godaddy, and I can't think that there is any possible way it could have been easier.
I agree, lowering prices is not a crime. Aren't they also using their market clout to write deals that don't allow their competitors? I didn't read TFA, but that is what I took this sentence to mean: " Some deals require pharmacies to reject prescriptions for low-cost generics and substitute a discounted name-brand Lipitor while other deals block generic makers from mail-order services that account for an estimated 40 percent of all Lipitor prescriptions."
Lowering prices, good, fair, fine. Anti-competitive deals, not so much.
Why the quote from David A. Balto is so lame, who knows. Again I didn't read THA.
I've been watching "Louise" (see http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1492966/ or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louie_(TV_series) ) on Netflix recently. Last night I went to Netflix, and tried to cue up the next episode. Instead of getting to watch episode 10 like I had episode 1 through episode 9, it was only available on DVD, and the DVD wasn't released yet. Some time in the last week or two, they changed.
So, I could either put the DVD for a season I had almost finished watching on my "Save" list, or I could go look for the same content from other distribution channels. Hum, tough choice.
I've always thought that people who think som other media player/phone/service/tablet will be the [LEADING BRAND] killer are dumb as toast, but when one of the products they touted as [LEADING BRAND] killer just dies, I have to chuckle uncharitably at their expense.
I had my phone setup to auto connect to wifi, but there is a lot of wifi out there that looks open and free to my phone, only it takes you to a page where you have to log in. Peets coffe, most hotels.
When I hit one of these, it sort of grinds everything to a halt, as the phone thinks it has a wi-fi connection but does not.
I was thinking about something along these lines just last month. Here is a question for you. Suppose you had the power to stop time for everyone else but not yourself. How could you use this power for your own benefit without doing anything imoral or illegal?
"For example, subjects were asked to judge how permissible it is for a man to let his girlfriend walk across a bridge he knows to be unsafe, even if she ends up making it across safely. In such cases, a judgment based solely on the outcome would hold the perpetrator morally blameless, even though it appears he intended to do harm."

Also, we are going to finally win the drug war any day now.
On a related note, I wish the Amazon cloud drive had an iPhone app.

Yes. Yes I would.
Am I the only one who thinks programs like this and/or folding@home and/or seti@home should be installed by the manufacture and enabled by default?
I've been using mac's since the very beginning. The day all of my software has to go through an Apple app store is the day I switch to Linux.
My digital music (and podcast and audio book) collection is currently at 328 GB. Heck, I have more than 20 GB of just free SXSW downloads. No thanks.

Bastards.
Moderators, parent is NOT a troll. Above is a vald and thoughtful comment.
Thanks

I usually have a phone for a few years. I usually drop them once or twice in that time, they usually don't break.
My fault? Maybe so.

Same here. I ignore 100% of twitter posts.
"thousand meter cable, and 5,000 mile sail" Meters and miles. Isn't this use of mixed units the error that doomed a mars satellite?
