Additionally, installing Gentoo more or less dictates that you have two computers - the one your installing Gentoo on and the system you use to browse the Gentoo forums and Install instructions to deal with gotchas and unexpected behavior.
You don't need two computers to do this. The Gentoo liveCD comes with - if they haven't removed them - installation instructions and a cli browser(lynx), which is suitable for browsing the forums.
If you don't like cli you could always use another Linux distro or Knoppix LiveCD to install Gentoo...
When I last checked there weren't links to the torrents on the announcement and now I can't get to the site and see if they've changed that. So just to be sure here's the link.
Topic of this vote aside how is Europe supposed to get anywhere if a country votes one way and then a couple of months later changes its decision?
What happened was that the minister representing the goverment voted against its wishes. They had every right to change the vote.
Then there's Spain. I find the phrase "undermine political credibility in Europe" to be a laughable concept when an entire country changes its majority party in a radical direction because of a single terrorist bombing.
The terrorist attack had insignifigant impact on Spanish electionts. The ruling party was already highly unpopular mainly because the troops in Iraq. Attempts to gain votes from the attacks didn't excactly help but they were going to lose anyway.
At least in Europe they have been able to show some(very short) footage from the SpacheShipOne. It included shot looking back from the top of the craft during the burn and one where Melvill was throwing M&Ms in the cockpit. I think BBC was one of the channels that showed it so it could be available in their website.
It's actually pretty common tactic to fire multiple RPGs simultaneously at the same target to ensure a hit in the right place(modern tanks are already pretty well protected against these types of weapons but there are still few week spots). But because of this I think that they thought about it when designing the new armor.
There have been some problems with the autoloading of nvidia kernel module when starting Xorg. In here it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. "No Devices Detected" seems to indicate that this is the problem you'r having. You can test it by shutting down X, configure it to use nvidia binary drivers if you haven't already, then do 'modprobe nvidia' as a root and as a normal user start X. If it works configure your distribution to load nvidia module at boot.(adding 'nvidia' to/etc/modules.autoload or some similar file should do the trick)

Yes, the Nvidia and ATI drivers work with Xorg. You need to remember that the current Xorg is just a fork of XFree 4.4rc2.
I would think that in the future both ATI and Nvidia will support the one the community uses and now it looks like community will be using Xorg
Actually there is a "wild new" direction planned for Xorg. First of all it will get the extensions introduced in the Keith Packard's XServer: Composite(transparent windows), Xevie, XFixes and XDamage(latter two are already in the CVS). Then there will be the support for Autotools and moving away from the monolithic design in to a more modularised model.
Electronic Frontier Finland ry has already send a questionnaire about software patents, spam, copyright etc. to the Finnish candidates. They have set up a page where you can compare your oppinions with those of the ones who answered.
Xorg isn't licensed GPL but with the old XFree license(v.1.0) that is GPL compatible. The big discussion was because the latest XFree license(v.1.1) holds a clause that makes it incompatible with GPL, which then might produce massive problems with anything linked to it. This isn't yet a problem as the XFree's xlib is still using the old license, but people fear it might be in the future.
This is why vibration was put to mobiles, so that people would notice that somebody is calling without causing any annoyance. I'd suspect you wouldn't be as irritated about people using phones in restaurants without those ringing thones.
Industry experts say that the non-financial penalties are likely to hurt Microsoft more by opening it to further challenges and altering the regulatory environment it operates in.
In Finland we have a system where you can request a compensation for court costs. After that it's court's job to decide what kind of compensations are resonable.(IANAL, but I believe that this is how it works)
In theory, your avarage Joe could sue big companies without the fear of paying all the legal costs. Also one can go to court when some company sues you without the fear of not being able to pay your own legal fees.(Of course this also means that they have to have a case agains the company)
When the day comes that the RIAA / MPAA try to kill off BitTorrent legally.
This would be really bad move from the *AAs. The open nature(both protocol and client are open to anyone) of BitTorrent makes it really hard to kill. You go after one client and another one will pop out immediately. Best way to prevent unauthorized sharing of copyrighted material is to go after the sites, which I believe RIAA is already looking into, not the protocol/clients.
That being said, I do agree with you. Blizzards actions are going to be really helpful if somebody is really trying to go after BitTorrent.(Note that I believe it's if not when)

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Neverball a game based on Monkey Ball.
Fun, addictive and some of the courses can be really challenging.

Hehe. What a great AI, you can even win without starting from the middle... go lower middle, upper right, lower right and middle right.

I haven't heard the radio plays or seen the TV series but the books gave me an impression that marvin was short.
Besides, they did carry him at the end of the So Long And Thanks For All the Fish.
Great!
I just started learning perl today. I should have never seen that code...

This must be how Gregory Blepp managed to get those 1.5 million lines of infringing code fit to a suitcase.

But that's exactly what's happening. Donating software to schools isn't act of good will from Microsoft. It's just a clever marketing tactic.

What do you think the MS vs. Pentagon thing was all about?2.People get use it
3.People will by your products because they are used to them
4.Profit!
