What would be the point of having a swiss knife without a knife ?
Until what we all know, we could bring that kind of knife on a plane. A swiss knife is very useful in all sort of situations, especially when you are travelling and just taking a piece of bread and some paté instead of eating a burger;-)
Personaly, I'm using the happy hacking keyboard, which is maybe not "specially designed for" linux, but works very well. And there is an "diamond" key that makes the menu pop-up, which is fine for the windows-like-button fans.
Even if you are just discovering that it is a french distro (which is the case since it started couple of years ago), I think it is not (included. the garlic).
For the fun of it, it would be better if there was a bottle of red wine included.
In the province of Quebec (canada), the Information Access Commission just released some rules (that just applie to Quebec, of course) for the use of video surveillance cameras.
That seems to be the question for you, does history really matter ?
Ok, maybe the exact fact or date does not matter much, but knowing what lead them to build that computer, why they were doing it, etc is kind of important for history.
As long as history matter, I think we should care...
hmmm, have you ever did a titration ? Just adding drops of an acid substance into a solution which contains an indicator can make the solution turn let's say red with ONLY ONE DROP.
That looks like magic to me;-) And this kind of thing happens a lot (not magic, science, my drop thing) in cooking...
Dunno if it is really the cause for this, but Mexico, the US and Canada are part of a free trade treaty, this may be actually normal that you (and we) use letter sized paper.
In Canada, even if we use metric system everywhere, you often have to go back to the old imperial system, especially in paper, construction, food (everything that we have a tight bond with the US for). Not that it's logical, it's simply not legal for trade. But when you go to buy a piece of wood, you have to ask for a 2' X 4' X 8'.... sadly, because when you look at it, measuring with millimeters is fairly more precise than with inches (of course, you can use 1/16th of an inch, but it gets confusing rapidly).
hmmm... did you just try to install the packages first ? There is no such thing as a "desktop" distro or a "server" distro for Mandrake...
Ok, you need to check the group of packages saying "Databases" to have the databases (like postgres) installed, it may not install MySQL by default, but if you go in your Mandrake Control Center, you can actually install that software (it even tells you which cd to install).
By the way, software works better if installed...;-)
And I'm using a Mdk 10.0 Community to tell you this (yes, I have mysql, apache,.... all installed).
is it the same warranty voiding that the car company once said you could cause when you don't make your oil change at the dealer ?
can't expect those companies to like doing less money:-)
Feel ready to own one or many Tux Stickers ?

Stick to Tux, get your own TuxSticker !
Stick to Tux, buy a tuxsticker !
Mabye some moderatos have too many mod points, posting dupes can help them lower their bank ... :-)
For the fun of it, it would be better if there was a bottle of red wine included.
Another of the hundreds (thousands ? whoa ! are you sure ?) of books on php/mysql... If I bought all of them, I'd be broke since a long time :-)

Maybe interesting to read regarding this subject...

If I recon correctly, gasoline fumes contains beneze. Have we stopped using gas ? I think not.
Everything is a question of risk. Just going outside is a health risk. Let's stop panicking for a while. We all gotta die of something.
See that bridge, why don't you go on it and jump off ?
yeah, right...
Isn't that what Darwin would have said ? ;-)
In this case, hard to say what's evolution or not...

You put pressure on the boss now, making a strike to "prepare the negociations" even if they are not started yet.
*sigh*
First thing the tech support said when those win file server had a problem:
"It's Linux's fault".
Well, what a convincing explanation, a nice big cloudy fog, sorry, FUD.... :-)

buried here, or sent in space, we're all star dust anyway...
