What I mean is that you don't HAVE to use the internet. If you don't pay for any internet, you won't be paying AT&T. AT&T IS providing you a service by routing your packets. What are you hiding that some random person can't see your packets along with every other packet that will pass AT&T's system?
I couldn't give half a shit if the NSA looks at my packets. BTW, AT&T is a business that you give money to directly or indirectly. If you don't like what they do, stop paying them. If that means you don't have interent, so be it. Internet connectivity is not a right, but a privilege.
But apple can kinda bs their way into saying that the g5 is capable of handling such a feature, and older processors are not. There's no such excuse on this deal. This is blatant.
I am a devout Catholic, and I think these ID proponents are wacko. I would like the teaching of evolution to state that it's a theory, but it's the best theory we've got, scientifically, and it should be taught. If the parents want to explain that God's hand was there to steer evolution, I have no problem with that. If the parents want to say that evolution is a BS, I'm fine there, too. You don't have to change the textbooks.
I personally see holes in the theory of evolution, but I do think the timeline of the development of species can't overlooked. People do need to think. You can be Christian and still have a brain, but I know too many who don't.
Two months ago my wife and I have tried to go to the movies. We let two "buy one get one free" coupons esxpire because there was nothing worth seeing at the theatre. It's not so much the price of the ticket, but the price of the time. I want to be entertained for a couple hours, and lately, it seems the movies playing won't entertain so why go?
ONE human? Sounds like a single point of failure. That guy gets capped and a whole buttload of supplies are stolen. How bout if no humans were in the convoy - that makes more sense.
I've always noticed firefox being faster than IE. Now I'm using XP on all machines I'm talking about. But if I start IE then firefox, firefox comes up first, always.
Yeah, 5 billion people don't have as much effect on climate as other natural events. One volcanic eruption spews more particulate matter into the atmosphere than years of human activities.
I live in Lafayette, LA. I'm pretty conservative, and usually agreee that government shouldn't compete with business. However, LUS (Lafayette Utiliy System) is very efficient in all its other roles: electricity, water, etc.
Also - this is the only way I could get internet cheaply. I live in an apartment by myself while in college. I use my cell phone and don't have a landline. That means I can't get DSL. Also, I'm not going to pay $40 a month for the two channels I watch on TV, I just hang out at my girlfriends apt and watch TV there. Without ordering cable TV service, I can't get cable internet service.
So, I'm stuck without internet access at home (and man it sucks). LUS's move is great fr the people. Internet service is becoming as important as other utitlies, so why not let the government create the infrastructure.
If the state or federal govt tried this, I would be opposed, but it's local city/parish (consolidated) government.
I know this has been beaten to death, but here goes. I also feel that Iran and N Korea were/are a bigger threat to us than Iraq, but, because Iraq never complied with the UN resolutions, we had more of a right to go in to Iraq than any other. Also, as you stated, it was the easiest, and we showed the other two we weren't scared to do it. Too bad it turned into such a mess after we actually invaded. Also, if you don't think we're fighting Iran in Iraq right now, you need to wake up.
Because there is some unrest in the people of Iran, I think we may not have to invade. N Korea, I don't know what we should do with that one.
Why would I protest if the guy I voted for won? You really think we'd be better off with Kerry?

I really wish I could be cool like you

that's what Mono is for
I was searching for the exact quote
Who do you think installs and updates Windows for the average joe?
Find an old box, put two eth cards in and install Smoothwall Express http://www.smoothwall.org/
yeah, even if there's no drive attached to the mobo, if you tell bios there's a drive, it thinks there's a drive.

But that's an LCD screen - the article talks about a crt display shrunk due to nanotech.
I, for one, welcome our new LCD overlords.
Anyone have a torrent?
