I'd say that evolution doesn't argue for or against the biblical creation story. Just because we know X could have evolved from Y does not mean God did not create those both at the same time. For instance just because humans and chimps apear to have evolved from the same ansester does not mean God did not create both in something close to there current states. The only theory which is explicitly incompatable with biblicaly creation is abiogenisis.

If your looking at this from a purly financial point of view, then that would only make since in the short term. A long term analisis of the problem would show that a criminal that is able to succesfully rob a store once with few complications will likly rob again. So the most financialy sensable thing to do is stop the criminal the first time he attempts to rob your store.

Actualy there is another interesting twist to the argument you are making. The German Reich determinied that certin races where not as evolved as them and did not deserve to survive and there fore justified the murder of those peoples. In the modern world we have decided that unborn children are not human enough deserve protection under the law, and we therfore can justify thier murder. We are not alone though it is common for mankind to dehumanize thier victims. Just look at the way the west is viewd by radical muslim terrorist.

I agree. I think g-d(I am a christian but use this spelling out of respect for you), when he created this universe and this planet created the very mechanics we observe today. In fact I think arguing over evolution is a logical trap we have led ourselfs into, if you want to have any argument at all it should be over AbioGenesis verses Creation but neither is provable and both will always come down to a matter of faith. I also think that there is such a push for total seperation of all things religous in our culture alot of people feel a threat, and alot are trying to fight this on any ground the can find. I know alot of people who are simply tired of being told what they belive is wrong and basicly they should just shut up and go away. They fell like there cornered and there is nothing they can do about it. The funny thing is by not alowing any debate at all we are infact pushing human secularism as the defacto religion in the US.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

I think its obvious, by "congress" the founders ment everyone and by "shall make no law" they ment "not even so much as think about religion". Oh, yea and by "the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed" they ment the right of the people we choose, to keep and bear the arms we alow, shall not be infrenged.
