Google ranks is clever like that.
As if the first page in the pile has a low rank, it gives off an even smaller part of this to the next page. Now, if a BIG blog which was very popular joined this, it would effect maybe 1 or 2 tiers down but after this yet again its gone.

This means only the BIG blogs can stay at the top, and anyway when googling, how many blogs do you click?

I know i never click any, not by habit but because there is none there. I guess this is due to the almost randomness of the infomation contained therein.

Oh and so you know im not bshitting about what i know about google, my sites listed top for djsmiley, djsmiley2k, tim bowers, and a few other terms...
The method? Add sensible content, add adwords, and add links to all my bookmarks.

At first when someone does something different google ranks tend to end up ranking it highly, but as soon as everyone catches on, it drops again to a normal level.

However, i must point out that i run my machine constantly in administator mode for the hell of it, i even let my brother on it. Why? Because its pretty much secure. My hardware firewall + combo of firefox and ad-aware SE edition work well to make sure im covered. Also got AVG running as well.

i know theres loads of people who like to "boast" they dont watch tv, but i wont take this attitude.

To be honest i watch about... 8hours/week, this is due to times when im stuck at my girlfriends house, and she and her whole family are watching soaps, and i cannot be arsed to go and play on the computer and be "unsociable". (not that im ever told this is what im doing, but you know).

So i end up watching pointless, stupid television which really DOES make me want to do something else. I guess this is a good thing?

I mean, i watch tv some times, there is some kool shows on sometimes late at night, or maybe when im bored ill watch a quiz show or something, but i really can't grasp the soaps, and reality tv thing. Only reason i can see why it attracts people, is that their own lives are so BORING!. I guess they must find joy someway, and this is watching people do things, instead of actually doing them, themselfs.

People then bring up the view that i watch stuff that appears on TV, on my computer. Well in fact i watch very few tv programs on my computer, and the ones i do are normally screened stupidly late at night, or not screened at all, so the only way i could view them was via computer. Also i watch some films but i get to choose what i want (Plus no news breaks).

Am i psycho? Nope, i think im selective and i tend to make sure i watch what i want, when i want, as apposed to watching something to replace having to do real life.

Final point, TV never strifes to be realistic, it doesn't need to, People would be bored stupid if the stuff that happened in Soaps was anywhere near as boring as real life can be. However, computer games must strife to be realistic, this is part of the point they are brought. So if some stupid idiot ended up thinking a game is real, hasn't it acchived its objective?

To be honest im used to many many products not having any instructions at all now, due to the fact that the manufacturer KNOWS that people wont read them.

Best way round this i ever saw was in the FF games, i think it was FF7 where was you played for the first few hours, it actually taught you the instructions. Only problem was there wasn't a way around it so every replay you would end up learning the same things again.

I know its not possible for simpler objects like microwaves etc, or even most computer hardware. But somethings (such as TVs and Video Recorders) should make use of this i think.

I was going to post this, but wouldn't want to be redundent.

The flaw is with CD's them selfs, they were created so perfectly that even when you do copy them, if you do it correctly no sane person can claim they can hear a difference.

Why are the record companys so scared of this, to be honest we have all heard the various stories about how they losing money etc etc. But does anyone think its far deeper than this?

Imagine that all the record labels knew of a newer technology, which we could use, which would never allow anyone to do this to it, which would ONLY ever store audio and nothing else. Now imagine they dont want us the notice it, so instead they put up this unbelivable fight against CDs.

Can they build copy protection onto Mini Disks? My pc can control my 5cd stereo and has optical out which it can control a MD player too. I could easily write something that would rip the CDs, and then copy said music to my MD player. The stereo would see it as a CD and not take any notice of protection. The MD player just sees line in.

So many ways around this stupid for them to try and stop us. Maybe they want us to do it this way, so we dont try doing it another way? Another way which once we discover it we will find its SO much better!?

Everytime a problem came up which the IT staff COULD fix instantly but couldn't be arsed to because we were just "lowly" firstyears then they would say "Oh its a bug, you will have to work around it".

And that was it, we could ask if they were planning to fix it, and they would claim they are waiting for a new version of the software. Shame is in this day and age, people EXPECT bugs, so much so that when one causes a problem, they find away around it.
