No one cares Balmer. Get a new idea. Stop copying Apple. Apple is a dick company... Why cant Microsoft initiate, rather than follow Apple. By the time Microsoft copies Apple's inventions, Apple has already dominated the market and Microsoft's pathetic copy is dead before it ever comes out.
Microsoft is run by a fat fucking idiot. Lets face it.
word, wearable computers is where it's at.
"Is that a beowulf cluster in your pocket, or are you just glad to see me?"
the 5th Amendment privilege against self-incrimination does not require the conclusion that a criminal defendant may elect not to divulge a password for an encrypted hard drive
That's why my passphrase is "I committed the crime."
Oops, now I need to change the passphrase on my luggage. Maybe I'll change it to "is my little secret" and when the keystone kops come after me, I'll quip a cryptic comment about Quine.
I prefer, "Fuck you, you'll never get the password!" as my password.
No USian not on government or military business has any reason to be where they were.
Except maybe for the beautiful landscape and friendly people? Unlike most commenters here, I did hike in Iran. There are no maps there, or trails, you just have to go by spoken directions ("take a taxi to XYZ and then head south for two days"). Which means you can get horribly lost.
And info on the safety situation can be just as fuzzy, people in the cities (worldwide) have no idea what the situation in the mountain is, but will give you their personal fabricated opinion as a fact.
Personally I would be most worried about anti personel mines that are scattered throughout the border region. Against Iraqi troops, fugitives, and smugglers.
But Iraq is a big country, and can be hell on one spot and perfectly safe on another. As a matter of fact, just spoke someone last week who had just returned from a climbing trip in Afghanistan. Not being a couch potatoe does not equal to being a CIA agent
Um, any american stupid enough to go hiking in that area that has a chance of getting lost and end up in iran is a stupid person that shouldn't probably be passing on his/her gene's anyways.
I'm not a fan of the Iranian government, but if I was them, any american that accidently wanders into my country, during times like this, hell ya i'd think they were a spy. They would be stupid not to.
You wanna go play with fire, then your there's a good chance your going to get hurt. I don't feel sorry for those hikers. I hope they make it thru okay, but they shouldn't of been so fucking stupid.
I find url shorteners to be dangerous. You don't know that it links to. And I find that everyone seems to use them, even the security "professionals" that it really makes no sense.
While I understand how handy they are when you need to share a link with someone in voice or something. But I never click on them from articles or anything. I refuse.
Imagine the Internet is a gun. URL Shorteners are the chambers. A bad link is the bullet.
Now imagine that gun is pointed at your head, and everytime you click on a shortened URL, you are pulling the trigger.
First, it's IMPOSSIBLE to figure out how much piracy is costing, because, well, it's piracy. There is no way to find out any sort of accurate count.
The real question is, are you (the app devs) making any money selling the apps? If so, shut the fuck up and quit complaining. If not, make a better app, or quit trying to clone the other fucking 30 apps that are similar.
Until last night, I didn't run a pirated version of anything on my android. I broke down and installed some games I downloaded for it. Why? Because, even though I don't game on my phone much, I wanted to check some out.
Civ 4 don't run on it, so I'm glad i checked that out, 'cause that's one game I might of bought, if any good.
So ya, I suck. I'm part of the problem.
But that doesn't change shit. And the more devs bitch about deserving money for every copy of their program/app being used, the more I can care less.
Piracy is part of life. It's part of the entertainment industry, it's part of the digital age, it's part of life. Accept it, learn to use it, and then you can profit from it. Quit treating your paying customers like they are criminals, and fucking chill. I mean, fucking look at history. Computer games & programs have been traded around since the start of computers. It's nothing new at all. It hasn't destroyed any industry, and it hasn't kept the producers from making a shit ton of money.
If piracy was as half as bad as the industry tries to make out, there wouldn't be the tech we have today. There would be NO xbox, no playstation, no nintendo. No PC games, no mac games (wait, there are mac games?). Piracy is the industries "wolf" (as in, The Boy Who Cried Wolf, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Boy_Who_Cried_Wolf)
oh ya, and quit with the bogus reports that are just well, plain lies.
Okay, I'm done with rant now, it's almost 4:20 and time to get stoned, and maybe play my pirated bejeweled on my android, just to stick it to the man.
Really? Because, as someone who has worked in gov't related cybersecurity, I can tell you that they try all the time.
There's no shortage of reasons for hackers to want access to data (classified or otherwise) really really badly.
You just need to get the hollywood fabricated ideas about teams of small teams of omnipotent superhacker "gods" out of your mind, because they don't exist.
Wait, you saying my religon where i worship superhacker gods is fake?
IBM is entitled to all the handouts they want - it's only the unemployed and welfare mothers that aren't entitled to handouts. Christ are you some kind of socialist?
Yeah. By pirating child porn and not buying it you are actually HURTING the child pornagraphers. Think of all the lost purchases they are incurring due to PIRACY! They should join forces with the RIAA's legal teams and push for harder copyright infringement laws for pirating child porn.
think about the children!! How are they going to get paid if you don't by child porn?
To quote many prominent Republicans, "9-11 changed everything."
To be fair, it did. It gave cover for authoritarian assholes to do whatever they wanted to do. Fighting wars in secrecy is just the tip of the iceberg. Welcome to the large gulag, comrade.
that only goes to make me think 9-11 was an inside job.
The bad news: If you use nukes, then coders will get even more lazy and feel they don't have to use asserts and end up being so off that the drones nuke New Jersey instead of Afghanistan.
The good news: Such as catastrophe just be enough to take Jersey Shore off the air.
The CIA is involved in the collection and analysis of foreign data.
Building an attack drone is, let's say, missing the mark.
You don't understand. Sometimes the foreign data they need to collect and analyze (mostly just analyze) is in a hardened bunker, or warehouse, or mud compound. They can't just land the drone and drive it into the mud compound very well, can they? The easiest way to expose the data they need to analyze is to remove the roof of the building. This allows the drone to take pictures of whatever used to be in the building, without landing, so that they can analyze it.
I really hope they people are smart enough to challenge these rulings.
While I can understand giving up proof of stuff at court orders, this totally sounds like they are fishing.
We don't know what you posted, but it probably has something to do with the case, so we are going to allow the defendant to have access to your personal info to see if there's a problem.
So, you're not using MS Windows or you never read the EULA?
EULA aren't legal. They may seem legal, but they aren't.
I can and will do what the fuck ever I want on my windows OS.
I play EQ2 and Sony's EULA says I can't use 3rd party software. Which means, my keyboard driver, my video driver, my video card extra software, is all illegal to run while I'm playing EQ2.
Of course, I go further, with innerspace and isxeq2 so I can script & bot the game to my hearts content.
EULA? Fuck you, take me to court and we'll see.
Seriously, you all momma's boys and girls that do what every fucking piece of paper with rules tells you? You scared to think for your own, and do what you know is right?
You keep giving up your rights, I'll keep taking them back.

Why didn't they use 1080p, 720p, and maybe a 576pal/480ntsc version?
I don't understand their choice of sizes.
Minnesota cannot 'move'.

You say socialist like it's bad.
Just ignore the yellow & brown stains, and save your life!!!!
I started a game last night, just normal settings, and about 8 hours later I'm still not down with it.
Am kicking ass though, need to bump up the hardness.
Yeah. By pirating child porn and not buying it you are actually HURTING the child pornagraphers. Think of all the lost purchases they are incurring due to PIRACY! They should join forces with the RIAA's legal teams and push for harder copyright infringement laws for pirating child porn.

George Washington, imo.
All the others have sucked balls in comparison.

No, they'd start filming it in California.

much like the drone aimed at you, you missed.

I loved the pun. thank you.
I noticed you said regular search engine, then just used google.
Is that the only regular search engine?

In both situations it becomes the same thing. You have someone familiar with the combat perspective and someone with the tech perspective.
What does it matter which comes first? This is like a chicken and egg argument which doesn't make any sense.
Sorry, that mystery has been solved.

thank god NO.

"I pity the fool who hack's my PS3"
I pity the fool who spell's all his word's with apostrophe's. English, motherfucker, do you speak it?
This is a text based forum, English, do you read and understand it?
Apparently, no.
You know, MS is the company of the future.
They have products that make everyone say "meh" (i think that means good, but i'm not sure yet).
And since it already has a base of everyone in MS (that didn't throw it away of course, or sell it on craigslist), then
ah, nm, I was going to be funny, but shit, MS sucks so bad, it's not even funny anymore.
So if you have to ask, I suggest you don't bother. You've missed the boat.
