Can't all these generals just get on World of Warcraft of whatever online game and fight each other there, instead of wasting everyone's money on using our internet as their newest play yard?
Because of all the Chinese gold farmers, the Chinese will have the advantage.
we didn't have twitter back then, so the whole question is moot. Why dwell on what could of been and how about we focus on what is currently happening?
Video games haven't ever just been about fighting and shooting. Sure, Arcade games are mostly, but computer games and home consoles systems have had a wide range of games for over 3 decades.
For example, Text adventures rarely were about shooting or fighting anything.
Puzzle games aren't about fighting or shooting shit. And they have been very popular since the dawn of video games.
I could go on, but I'm catching up on the Jericho TV series, and I figure most of you aren't as stupid as the author.
This is like taking slices of 80% of a computer's memory once a second. Sure, you might be able to get an idea of what's going on, but until you can see the whole picture, a lot of things are not going to make sense...
Yep, but dang, that is really cool they got this far.
Fish heads, fish heads, Rolly-polly fish heads, Fish heads, fish heads, Eat them up, yum!
I had a sister who used to always ask me how her outfits look. So I got honest. "Yes, that outfit is great if you want to project an image of an desperate crazy chick trying to hook up." "Wow, the belt takes your eyes away from how fat your ass is." "Yes, that shirt shows enough cleavage to keep that maybe a drunk dude will try to get some action." "I'm sure the other people will be impressed with how you manage to fit all your rolls into those tight clothes."
Needless to say, I wasn't asked my opinion about clothes that much.
Thanks, but I figured that out with google. Anyone who's used the internet for longer than a week figured out how to do that one.
You would think so, but as I've noticed in the last decade of playing MMORPG's, that most people are too lazy google anything and would rather have you tell them.
I know I only have a public school education, but I'm pretty sure it's: an hour. $10 an hour. Which is about $11 more an hour that I'd ever pay him to be an editor.
Yeah. Except this David doesn't even have a sling. It's going to go to SCOTUS, they'll side with the save-the-children, oh-no-terrorists, and it's-for-your-own-good crackpottery that dominates the mindset of our legislature and our judiciary.
Interstate = intrastate, ex post facto = go ahead and add punishment (just call it something else), probable cause = "well, we thought it was a reasonable search", borders = 100mi from the.... borders.
Come on, we know exactly how this is going to go.
Although I have to say, three fucking big cheers for trying, little people.
You forgot to add how piracy of Music and Movies are the problem also...
Very true. The UK and Norway have the right idea, firearms should only be present only when the situation specifically calls for it. In Norway the firearms stay locked in the car and approval from a superior officer for them to be used, this seems like a good approach to me, at least in countries not inundated in gun violence.
Ya, it sucks, I live in the United States and the only guns I have ever seen pulled on someone was by cops. We do need to do something about the gun violence here, these cops are out of control!!!
Seriously, in the 40+ years I've been alive, I have only seen cops pull guns on people (people without guns, I might add), never the other way around.
We do have a problem, but it's not what people think.
Can you? One of the reasons the original XBox was pulled off the market as soon as the 360 came out (and no slim was ever made) was because nVidia reportedly refused to do a die shrink or combine dies, etc. So MS was left with a big, hot, expensive chip while Sony was able to shrink theirs and lower their costs dramatically.
MS might still hold a grudge on that one.
The Xbox was pulled because MS wanted everyone to buy a Xbox 360. Why? Because they stand to make more money off new releases, which would be for the Xbox 360 then they would for any Original Xbox games being bought. Granted they still made money off of Xbox Live with the original Xbox's, but not enough I imagine to keep producing them.
I think Sony was the only company still making machines for the previous generation while games were still being made for it. Think it was a year or so after the PS3 was out that new PS2 games finally stopped coming.
And yet every time a new one comes out, those same consumers seemed to be lined up around the block to buy them.
This launch was so bad Amazon actually stopped selling it. It was so bad that EA's offered a free game to anyone who made the regrettable choice of purchasing SimCity (though they still won't offer refunds to anyone who ordered the game through Origin). It was so bad that Polygon's reviewer downgraded their initial review from a 9.5 to a 4.
So trust me when I say people are going to remember this the next time someone takes a traditionally offline game and tries to add an always-online requirement -- for any reason.
tbh, if the Polygon reviewer didn't change the score, people would of known he received money from EA for the review...
Homo Sapiens seems quite "stupid and brutish" most of the time. Just saying.
Actually, even when compared to our closest relatives the great apes, humans get along remarkably well. The frequency of violence in human communities is remarkably low compared to many other species. Chimpls for example have have rates of aggression between two and three orders of magnitude higher than humans..
Do animals build prisons to hold and torture fellow animals? Do animals build concentration camp to hold and kill millions of it's own kind? Do animals build nuclear bombs to destroy fellow animals far away?
Animals might be more aggressive, but they sure as fuck aren't as evil as humans...
MS has never been about any open web, they have been trying to make their own standards since the beginning.
MS only cares about MS.

I'm sure all his butthurt over Apple and flash don't matter now that Apple is going to pay him top dollar. Plus Adobe is a wreck of a company, imo.

Probably works better with sisters than with wives...
I'm not stupid enough to get married.
I think he's probably having trouble with the lazywife because when it comes to be compliments, guys like to hear them after sex.

Doesn't your browser come with spellcheck?
Timothy is overpaid for a very crappy job he does.

2 submission in a row with error checks the editor (Timothy) doesn't even try to correct.
I don't see a link for an article.
Does Timothy get paid?
If you can make $10 and hour

I met Orner at South by Southwest, where she was hustling her latest film

Like Madoff. How do you feel about his sentence?
I didn't care one way or another really, but i bet he wished he had asked for a bail out before it all went south.
Sigh.
I wonder how much time someone would if give if you gave someone your works keys and they went and taped up pictures in the reception area.
damn it.
Okay, try again.
I wonder how much time you would get if you gave someone your works keys and they went taping up pictures in the reception area?
This seems about that same, except it's online.
Sigh.

There's a great Soviet Russia joke in there somewhere.
In Soviet United States, the terrorist have won.
