    back when i was 12 or so, I would get put on "restriction" meaning I couldn't do anything other then church activities. The problem was, I didn't do anything anyways. So after about 3 years, they realized that they weren't punishing me, so they had to change it. (started making me clean up shit, ended up everytime something was dirty, I had a bad attitude, so i had to clean it as a punishment.)

    Guess what peeps? Sanctions don't work. Time to change up strats.

    Am I the only person bored with the obsessive focusing on Mars by people desperate to find life? Maybe mars had life in the past but now its a dead dustball. There is more change of life in the ice moons of the outer solar system as they have oceans NOW. A few more missions to them and a few less to mars might be a better use of scientific resources.

    I'm not bored with it. This is what science is. You have to do a lot of boring work before you might, and just might, hit the big pay day.

    Was there life on mars? We are trying to find out, have some patience.

    Not sure if this is good for the PC games industry, or bad. It's good, because games with bad DRM shouldn't succeed. It's bad because I like PC games, and want the industry to focus on PC games again.

    It's good all the way around.

    What it shows is that PC users won't put up with really stupid ass DRM and poorly managed launches.

    What surprises me is that Amazon would pull the listing, even with bad reviews, any sale is sale.

    I didn't read the article, barely glanced at the summary. Simcity was cool in the 80's & early 90's, but now? I doubt it. If people are going to bring any old franchise back from the past, X-wing and Tie-fighter would rock...

    try to find an episode of Caillou (kid's programming) it is actually kinda hard. the big name shows are the easy ones though, especially if it is adult oriented.

    tl;dr: little kid's shows are the hardest to find.

    yes, i agree, Kid shows are harder to find, unless they are like super hero cartoons. Nerds, go figure.

    You should try reading the summary a bit there hoss. It's somewhat difficult to torrent live broadcasts.

    If you can't find 90% of your TV shows on Usenet, you are either stupid, or doing it wrong. Some shows, NCIS, NCIS LA, Supernatural and a couple others get tagged right away, UFC stuff gets tagged within 5 hours usually. so I torrent those files usually.

    But the rest? I have no problem finding at all. Oh, wait, The Carries Diaries never show up, but I think it's sort of a kid/teenagers show. Actress is hot though.

    Granted, there might be a time soon when it's getting hard to get TV shows off Usenet, but that time isn't now. Still the best $10 a month service I pay for.

    I think you're over glamorizing the common criminal.

    Sure, there are tons of con-men and con-women out there that could talk you out of your wallet's contents with a wink of an eye. And sure, there are a lot of well-dressed pick pockets out there... so you don't think they're up to something. And lets not even delve into the white-collar criminals.

    But a majority of criminals are not that sophisticated and wearing decent clothes. There are PLENTY of thugs out there as well as hoodlum kids.

    Try walking down a bad part of Newark or Chicago some time. Trust me, if-and-when you are the victim of a crime it won't be the handsome guy in a suit or the hawt girl in a nice dress. Chances are it will be a thug (of ANY color / creed / whatever) that takes your stuff.

    I was a very good shoplifter because I didn't look like I was there to steal.

    Robot are just machines. Currently there is no reason no to trust them. Now, if they start giving robots weapons and program them to kill people, then yes, maybe there might be something to worry about.

    I will also trust it to break down at the worst times possible, cost a ton of money to repair, and probably cost a nice amount to actually buy.

    How exactly does a router cost $20k? Granted this was in 2010, but how exactly is it that expensive? Special government price? How much would it cost someone else to buy that router?
