    Seriously, what sort of life would this baby have? Growing up being an extinct race, being poked and prodded by scientist, being a public figure, from birth. Then on top of that, you have whatever Neanderthal's have, big forehead, mono brow (that is going to go over big in school), and that not even going into how intelligent it is.

    This baby would be born into a live of hell.

    The level of "lethality" is not even comparable. This law, unfortunately, still leaves firearms as much more lethal than a baseball bat.

    The government would fine them big time, if not possible keep them from making the cars that are affected.

    Time to start handing out fines to Oracle I would think. See if that might change the 2 years to something a bit more realistic, like 6 months.

    From what I read, the third party firmware upgrades looks complex from their documents and easy to brick. :(

    I don't find them that complex and the easy to brick warnings are for the idiots that do not bother to read thru the instructions first and get an understanding of the whole process before proceeding. Most things that cause bricking is from doing stupid crap during the process, like not paying attention to the step you are on and not understanding the step you are on.

    I find the DD-WRT's instructions to be good. Way better then the instructions I've had to hack my various consoles over the years.

    Yes, you would think the summary would at LEAST say *WHICH* router it affects, since Linksys has lots of different models. It is the WRT54GL.

    I *love* that router and have probably 30 of them. Low power draw, real antenna, wall mountable, etc. My recommendation- install Toastman Tomato on it. They never crash, freeze, freak out, not work with certain devices, etc. Rock solid stuff.

    Strangely, the WRT54GL is STILL BEING SOLD!

    I thought the point of the WRT54GL was to install DD-WRT on it. I don't know about anyone else here, but that is what I did.

    I've been seeing reports of this so called clock for a long time and I can't help pointing out that so far, for thousands of years, every single prediction of the end of the world and humanity has been wrong.

    Or the prediction has been written down after it's happened and then claimed as a prediction... The Bible has that.

    yeah, no shit. Megaupload has been saying lets do this in court from the get go. And the USA has been doing what it can to avoid court, after what appears to be a bunch of illegal activities getting the evidence over here.

    My guess is this never goes to court.

    I ran into this problem, tried to enable it in Firefox, no luck. I had to use Internet Explorer to get around the block.

    for my torrents and i already use encyrption on my usenet. BTGuard is quite slow, but I'm apparently safe. Thinking of maybe going VPN instead of BTGuard, but I need to find one that is fast, and doesn't keep records.

    So I'm paying an extra $6 a month to be safe, seems fine to me.
