    Viruses are easy to take out of the system, but that doesn't stop the same behavior that puts the virus there in the first place.

    Example: A friend of mine I end up fixing his laptop for viruses usually gets them because his kids are looking for TV shows and gets sent to sites that want them to download something. Boom, infected. Looking for a youtube/Disney/Hulu video downloading, boom! Infected.

    I don't care too much because I get paid. And getting rid of the viruses/whatever is as easy as taking the harddrive out of the computer and hooking it to an already running computer (via usb-ide/sata adaptor), and run a few programs. Takes a few hours, or more depending on the size of the harddrive and how much space is taken up. But very, very easy to fix.

    I was fired from my job because I'm 50+ and failed several performance reviews. Would they have fired somebody younger in my position? Or made him on management track? Rhetorical.

    You were fired because you failed at doing your job, hence failing serveral performance reviews. You were NOT doing you job decent enough. Age has nothing to do with it, so quit making excuses because you were lazy at work.

    It should also be noted that it is possible to download-only (be a leach). I should hope that when they obtain their records of "illegal downloaders" that they ensure that said downloaders are also providing, otherwise they are wasting a lot of people's times.

    Sounds like you are angry because no one seeds the torrents you want.

    You phone gets stolen, the police get it, put the number in the stolen number, must watch database, and then return your phone to you.

    Now they record and keep track of everyone you call and calls you.

    Since they did not make a linux version of the BFG edition I could not play it.
    I bought every Id game that had linux support in the past. They probably have no idea about that though since you had to buy the MS version and download the engine to play on linux.

    They released the source code, the link is in the OP, so get programming whiney person.

    Yes, indeed, $99 is sub-$100...

    Statistically, the expected value of sub-$100 is $50 though!

    Maybe to you, but in the 40+ years I've a been alive, sub $100 usually meant in the 90's. You say $50 when it's $50 because while 50 is less then 100, it's not close enough to 100 to consider it this way.

    Actually, it's not that stupid. The Wii-U is in short supply, and while the Wii did sell good already this year, it gives people a cheaper one to buy instead of buying a kid another 360 or PS3. Will some people boy the Mini Wii thinking it's a Wii-U? Probably, but you can't fix stupid.

    I don't know anyone who ever complained about the original Wii being "too big" (it's already the smallest home console on the market). Or, for that matter, anyone who has purchased one in the past 1-2 years and complained of it being "too expensive" (it's already the least expensive home console on the market). You can buy the regular (white) Wii for $120 right now at Best Buy, the $20 savings is not huge.

    I suspect that these ones also have broken backwards-compatibility with the gamecube, so you are definitely getting less usefulness for less money.

    We can play gamecube games off of usb and SD now on the wii.

    So no, you're talking out your rear end. How about some authoritative information?

    rjejr is correct. You can go into your Wii Settings and turn off the background data options--you know, the one that updates your weather and news and all that while your Wii is in standby mode. If you don't use your Wii for weather/news, you can save yourself some electricity/money by disabling the standby mode.

    That must be the WiiConnect24 setting.

    InTrade is an Irish company, founded by an Irishman, with a HQ in Dublin. They also banned the use of US credit and debit cards in 2010 - so cannot be actively seen to be soliciting business from the US.

    Considering these facts, I'm not entirely comfortable with an unrelated country being able to have such an impact on a foreign company, which only operates overseas.

    Since the Irish are terrorist friendly, I'm surprised we haven't invaded yet.

    Possibly. It depends on how much truth there is behind both sides claims. Neither the Feds nor Kim have much credibility here, and both have a history of distorting as much truth as possible to get their way. I don't envy the ones who have to try and cut through the bullshit and figure out exactly what needs to be done.

    There is a paper trail. Do you think the FBI just called up on the phone and said, "Kim, old buddy, please keep these files because we are investigating it?".

    No, they send paper work. And combined with the paper work the FBI gave the court, is showing that something is funky.

    I was always under the impression that the braille language is meant to be touched, not "read" via sight. Wouldn't it make more sense to just project the letters into the person's retina vs. the dots for Braille?

    because the blind people do NOT know what the letter is usually, but they know braille.

    don't need to retrain them to use the device, i'm sure one that display letters would be made later.

    If this point doesn't drive it home, let me give ya a true story.

    Back in the day, I did stupid shit and got put in jail. This is county jail, not prison. I was down waiting to see the judge and other people were there waiting also. One of the guys was going before the judge because he keeps destroying the wrist tag they give you. Now the wrist tag has your picture and info about you, so they know who you are, and that they are releasing the right person, transferring the right person, etc. So we asked the guy why he keeps destroying the wrist tag and he says, "It's the Mart of the Beast, and as a christian, i can not wear it." Most of us spent the next 5 mins laughing. Ends up this guy, who would of been out that night, is spending extra days in jail because he thinks something is the mark of the beast.

    Stupid people don't understand stupid shit. Her understanding of her religion is going to lose her a good education.
