You're correct - WMV is not broadcast. I don't think you'll be convinced anytime soon, but for a ponter try this one to (all?) nearly 20 movies -

Try changing your DNS server from 'automatically assigned by the ISP' to a manual setting like 4.2.2.1, 4.2.2.2, 4.2.2.4... Won't make Comcast happy ( or I think, Verizon) but should allow you to browse as normal.
If you read more of the NaNoWriMo FAQ, you'll realize that the author (Chris Baty) had his tongue firmly in his cheek when he wrote this.
His humour is one of the things that attracts many NaNoWriMo participants.
You know, with this new news, there's got to be a Collector's edition box set of Spaceballs 1 & 2 in the future somewhere. I just hope it's not in a galaxy far, far away...
'Til then I'll stick with my Laserdisc version.
Well, EFI comes with its own network drivers, and there are sample TCPIP stacks. I've heard of simple web browsers that have been ported over, so I don't see why you couldn't log on to your favourite webmail service using it...
The Pioneer DVL919 is spendy, but a very nice machine (it plays DVDs too), and still available. I have two of the previous generation DVL909s...

Did anyone else think of the embedded computers that monitor your day, described in Rob Sawyer's Neanderthal trilogy? They even mention the same application - remembering where you lost items...

Both Argon and Emboot have PXE boot VMware virtual machine images - anyone tried them? Or is that a non-starter for the VMWare player?
No, don't use a microwave - just slap them in the Foreman USB grill

The Roku Photobridge does indeed make a nice Myth front end, by all accounts - http://www.rokulabs.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=245 8

So I have to ask - what happened to the first one? :)

Hmmm... Thanks for pointing that out. I just grabbed one of the first links return from Google...
I know it's the percocet talking, but I think you mean PAE not PXE...
Apart from that - absolutely correct.

Yes - Gateway just released the 610 Media Center box running EFI. Read all about it!
Forget the BIOS patch. Why boot to Linux when you're already booting to BSD?
With EFI having a built-in TCPIP stack, you can bet that an EFI based Web server is only a recompile away for some people.

Also, don't forget EFI itself is a derivative of FreeBSD...
