I wouldn't because per your description, the first page could change after I've read it. What you are talking about is not the final book, which I would like to read. Consider this, 100 comments where the newest is an reply to the oldest (first) post. How would this be displayed sanely? Would you move the oldest (first) post from the bottom of the page to the top of the page under the newest (last) post?

Why is this moderated as troll? I think this is serious and funny at the same time. Of course the "World police" (as Bush named Americans) would consider this as a future threat (notice: with the generalisation "would consider this" I mean the US government and alphabetical agencies).

What is the MPAA doing trying to get a take-down notice against an Australian entity anyway?
As far as I know, the free trade agreement between the two countries pretty much makes sure MPAA & friends have similiar power in Australia than they have in US.

That's a good point. So far these security features have been good for.. well, for some time but after a while they are found to be exploitable oslt. I like the idea of one making HW and one making SW. Using GNU/Linux or *BSD systems on the software side should be enough. I understand that it's not a big selling factor saying that our product needs additional OS and SW to run but hey, atleast it would be the admin who decides how the data is encrypted. Of course, it's much about the client side also but atleast we would have the chance.

They are repeating this.. Just like a religion. I mean the first time when they started to claim that mobiles are going to be spammed. What's up with that? Time to upgrade our SMS capable phones to UMTS capable so the porn ads and local supermarkets can legally send us legal ads? Time to upgrade so that we feel necessary to buy McAfee Spamkiller v5000 or something?

I've seen same thing few years back at TV too. Now they say "Windows" instead of "Internet" but still they miss "non-Windows operating systems" for some reason. It would give quite clear signal to viewers, non-Windows OSs are safe so that's probably why they aren't saying it.. (the station uses Windows desktops & servers).

    No.

    1. Paying $20 or so for a album which contains 12 songs is fair? And if it contains two so called "hot" pieces is a bit too much. Musicians can make a living by selling one song under $0.50 say.. million times. Loosing all the extra "costs" such as printing CD, store profit, transportation etc. I bet the musician can still make a living.

    2. No, but it's totally different thing when talking about live concerts that cannot (or actually can be but again it's not beeing done because of record labels) be easily transported to customers all over the world.

    3. I have no idea how Madonnas contract is done but I guess she gets an advanced payment and some percentage of sold records.

Yes I do find it quite interesting how someone can sell songs that so low when we have used to see same songs in album with a price tag of $20 or so. But this when millions of songs are beeing sold I hope musicians will understand that there's an option for "old CDs".

I'm no expert on the matter but if I buy a CD from Russia that's $15 cheaper than in my country, do I have to pay again to the local RIAA just because I got it cheaper? Does it make the record illegal if I got it cheaper from Russia? No. If I buy legal online music from Russia instead say.. iTunes, does it make the songs illegal? I doubt. Why would it be? The only reason what I really can come up is RIAA way of thinking "it's never too expensive".

In my opinion... That's how it works in the US. In EU instead the point isn't to hurt someone with fines, it's more like a warning that you've done something bad. So the amount what MS has to pay doesn't hurt them but they noticed that if they don't comply actions against them will become harder.
