What the GP mentioned wasn't the shape of the planet, but rather of its orbit. The parent still has a valid point, however - none of the planets have a completely round orbit, Pluto just happens to be more skewed than the others.
I personally am more interested in the way its orbit is off-kilter.
I'm sure if you had a huge enough planet, Earth could be considered a moon or something.
Technically, size has nothing to do with moon-ness. Jupiter has several moons that are larger than Pluto, and I believe Ganymede is larger than Mercury. The only relation between being a moon and the body's size is that a moon can't be larger than its parent planet.
If someone considered the sun a planet, Earth would be a moon. (As would Jupiter.)
It's been years since I read anything about this, but I seem to recall some controversy about this a while ago. Specifically, Pluto and Charon seemed to orbit each other rather than Charon orbiting Pluto.
Where am I coming from? Nowhere specific. Where am I going? Absolutely nowhere. I just have karma to burn.:)
A good idea is to go to the new local.google.com and search for "wifi" in your zip code - I got a number of results I had no idea about, and so far have a good success of actually being free.
And pBop wasn't small? Until it got mentioned on slashdot, which I think was after the legal pressure had already started, I doubt pPod/bop was any bigger than the skins and such.
Disclaimer: It's entirely possible I'm talkiing out of my ass.
A better comparison would be to other PDA's... in which case... it's still a ripoff. A new iPaq at that price has double the clock speed (plus SD and CF slots, Wifi, and Bluetooth) and is probably considerably smaller and lighter. (My friend just got one - it's a nice little PPC.) You can get one with specs similar to this one's for about $100 on ebay.
Chalk another one up for PocketPC... If anyone wants Linux handhelds to succeed they need to price them affordably with similar specs. Much like the desktop Linuxes. (Linii?)
There's only one instance I can think of where a real message was blocked, but it was someone at a "internet security" company sending me an executable.
"Internet security" deserved to be in quotes on that one. You ought to do the free world a favor and mention that company's name here so we can all know what kind of idiots work there... and to avoid it.
I'm not trolling. Anyone dumb enough to send.exe's over email should not be working at a "security" company. Any company dumb enough to hire them should be punished severely, like by having slashdotters not buy their (dis)service.
Sadly, a Preview pane (note: "A" preview pane, not "Outlook's" preview pane) is probably the single biggest reason I don't use Webmail. For many people, myself included, it's such a convenient feature that it's near unlivable without it.
I don't have to care about Outlook anymore (switched to Macs last year), and I don't think anyone should use Outlook more than is absolutely necessary - which limits it to the corporate types mentioned in many threads. I don't know of any other reason not to use Thunderbird.
Which is a key difference... There are iTunes skins for windoze music players, and iPod skins as well.... they don't go after them because they don't charge. (Of course there's always a good chance you're just trying to get some free linkage, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt....)
That said, I wonder how WinPLOSION (formerly called WinExpose) has survived this long.
The great part about OSX's way of doing this: every language has its own files. If the German for "OK" is really long and the German for "cancel" is really short (it's probably not, but just for the sake of example), you can resize the buttons in the box to fit that. It's not a lot more than "open English, translate, Save As German". Although, I'm not sure if this makes it hard to make changes to these files in the future.... I would imagine so, but have not had to do that so far, maybe Xcode is smarter than I give it credit for. (Anyone who has more info on that should reply)
What I meant was, Mozilla doesn't come installed and the default browser on Windoze or Macs... only some breeds of linux. (Maybe most breeds, in fact it probably is most breeds, but I can't say for sure.)
You are correct tho, the Google thingy is there by default (once you get the browser).
Good point.... I was more specific though XD
Oops, got my threads twisted.
I was referring to this post as the "grandparent"... had thought it was in the same lineage as this one.
Nothing to see here...move along....
Similar to the billiard balls, the pissdrops were made round by surface tension, not their own gravity.
I can't believe I just discussed the surface tension of piss. I need a damned life.
The billiard balls were made round by manufacturing processes, not their own gravity.

Ah, I was thinking maybe the space above 3 was blank. :-)
Are all (or most) of these actually free?
:-)
*watches Google grow a little more godlike*
Actually.... downloading music isn't really the problem. Uploading a large number of songs is.
:)
So you could UPLOAD copyrighted music with impunity!
On the other hand, Intel actually *is* inside most businesses, however fortunately or unfortunately.
I'm still trying to figure out what AMD has to do with Wifi.

Was that intentional?

I was getting to that.
They should be locked in a small chamber, have acid dropped in their eyes, and get raped in the ass with a rusty pitchfork. By a goat.
Almost - it's the moron who had the bright idea to use IE's engine to display said email.... they need to be shot multiple times in the genitals.
:)
The person you mention merely gets a shot in an extremity for trusting the other person to write that code.
Unless of course they are the same person.
If the GPL were viral, Windows would be Free Software by now.
That sig is so appropriate. Even more so given the source leak....
(Don't apply logic to my posts. Stop it. Stop it I say.)

I don't see you charging money for that?

Maybe this jump is an indication of how many new (10.3) Macs have been sold?
Just a guess. don't stone me. *ducks*
We should have a mod system for TV, like what Slash has.... no wait, we'd get all sorts of bad mods modding crap like Entertainment Tonight up....
