I used OS/2 WARP 3 & 4 (but switched to linux) and absolutely loved the system. Although it had it's quirks, like the single input queue that caused the WPS to hang and the whole system became unresponsive.
But apart from that the WPS was absolutely wonderful, GNOME & KDE could use some of that technology.
Not really, if you make sure it only sends out spam for a limited amount of time the chances of being detected are much lower.
More like a hit and run technique it is much harder to defend and act against.
You also don't leave a trail of bread crums behind. It could also be argued that you (the spammer), when charged for spamming, are the victim of an orchestrated spamming.
I wasn't commenting on the quality of the study, only on the small inaccuracy (The Netherlands are just south of Denmark)
Now back on topic.
I can only speak for myself off course but I've been using computers for hours on end for over 13 years and have yet to develop even the slightest symptom of stress related pains. (knocking on wood as we speak)
I'm not French but Belgian but it seems to me that the earlier talked about a postponement of payments.
This would seem to make it very close to what we call in Belgium "gerechtelijk akkoord" or judicial agreement under which a company is, during a court determined time (typically 6 months), granted a protection from debtors claiming their debts. During that time they can work on a financial plan to repay their debts.
However, most of the time this is the "foreplay" to bankruptcy.
Actually in, I think, in Kourou, French Gyuana tribes of Cannibals were struck with a similar disease called "Kourou" from eating animal flesh, however this was decades before people were getting Creutzfeld-Jacob from cows.
Actually, If I recall correctly it's from feeding cows (and other farm animals) the remains of sheep with scrapies to cows that caused the Mad Cow disease which in turn caused Creutzeld-Jacob's disease.

Perhaps, but I'm sure that OPAC and the Big Three auto makers would have you believe that _THIS_ is the sole reason for climate change, and not the three and a half billion tons of oil or 2 billion tons of natural gas we burn every year.
I'm thinking more in the line of a combination of factors (hence a result not THE result) one of which being the greenhouse gasses that are put in the atmosphere by everyone/thing on this planet.
The effects could be catastrophic. Powerful radiation bursts, which normally never touch the atmosphere, would heat up its upper layers, triggering climatic disruption.
Seeing as the climate has been changing rapidly in the last hundred years. Could it also be a result of the declining magnetic field?

I mean this is a feature that should be in every browser.
Additional software for a simple, but overly annoying, thing like this is plain stupid.
This reminds of a book we had to read in high school. In that book they put the whole African continent to sleep (through poisoned food relief) as it was deemed impossible to rescue.
If we look at the world today this solution wouldn't work any more as Asia is also densely populated albeit that they don't have the same famine problems they have in Africa.
I think it is time some governments start reconsidering their viewpoints about birth control.
Thats what I love about Capitolism. It's all about seeing exactly how much you can get away with, and for how long.
I could see circumstances, eg passing of laws, where this sentence would be very appropriate...:-)
OS/2 still lives on as EcomStation.

Now it does, after I posted my comment I noticed they changed it.

Actually the article says it's a Danish study ...
More precisely a rank only used by the SS (Schutzstaffel) the regular army used Major
Rank in the German Army during WWII, equivalent of Major.

Damn, that should be from "eating human flesh"

As I gather it you will still be able to get it as EcomStation or something like that.

Luckily "dijken" wasn't translated as "dikes" :-)
