    With windows, all security problems simplify down to active directory, which you need a specialised, long winded education to even install.

    methinks you dont really understand any of them, which, afaics, amount to bugs of local users of the system. none of them are critical vulnerabilities. let alone anywhere close to a database chock full of unfixed severe vulnerabilities because not enough developers have access to the windows source code to fix them in a reasonable time.

    This is just yet another instance where I am not happy to be right.

    Itâ(TM)s downright depressing.
    Once upon a time the US was a beacon of hope to the world.
    Now they are little more than a gold mine for hackers and youtube hillarity over their head of state because they abandoned any pretense of secure systems because terrorists.
    So now only terrorists and rouge states have secure systems.

  12. i picked up some boston bluetooth headphones/mic at the airport on offer and been much happier with them than any jack based headphones. been a fair few years since i used the audio jack. definately not the end of the world to see it go.

    tbh, if youâ(TM)re an audiophile you probably wouldnt be using your phone as a source in the first place.

    pretty sure most of the cartels will have moved over to stealth tor services by now for general coordination and transactions. Opium to Russia/China is mostly US Army rather than cia, Opium into US mostly seems to be Chinese Army. for the rest of illegal pharma, a good portion of the market is private manufacturers with only limited resources. For example that scene in TED2 when they crash into the marujuarna field.

    android 3 4 and 5 were pretty terrible. 6 was all about security. 7 will overtake Apple in all meaningful ways.
    But lets be honest, if you know what you are doing, even the open and broken walls of android 3 could be secured to a greater level than the black box that is apple devices will ever.

    but if it doesnt have big explosions, people will lose interest fairly quickly. More interesting watching trump make a fool of himself and little rocket men make substantiated threats.

    because the management engines are not âlegitimatelyâ(TM) sending your files to a remote server, - you can mitigate it with network based threat detection. yes they are a hole, but well down the list compared to windows and av communications with the outside world.

    i wouldnt give either absolute permission over all files on my computer. lets be honest, after windows, the anti virus that runs on it is the biggest security hole a computer can have.
    Personally i think you are an idiot if you donâ(TM)t believe every single av vender is a key foothold for its respective governments intelligence service.

    Imho, winphone (and the iWatch) havenâ(TM)t achieved much market penetration, because they simply arenâ(TM)t available on cutting edge hardware. market share leads from the top down, and if your flagship product blows, so do all the products that follow it.

    tesla and amd collaboration should make more sense to you now then.
    All of these are mostly solved problems for computer vision.
    The problem is the latency from pixels to world model, currently botched by oversimplifying the world model. going massively parallel through a couple of threadrippers should give both the cost and performance needed to not oversimplify anywhere near as much.
    I reckon musk has recently seen just how realistic a world model they can get from that performance, which is why he believes level 5 is within reach.
