First thing I thought was placing the moon on a collision course with the earth, thereby ensuring the extinction of all life. Take that you soviet dogs!
My gripe: I run remote desktops. Sometimes from an iPad, sometimes from an android tablet, sometimes in windowed mode from a windows PC. Nearly everything does not work with remote desktop. There's no start button to click. There's no way to run an app w/o getting to start. There's no way to simulate gestures when you don't use a mouse. Productivity is way down with this thing.
I wouldn't necessarily say it was a fail at all. The usage of power at their datacenter probably ties in directly to the buy-in by consumers of their cloud hosting solutions (office 365, Azure, Dynamics, Skydrive). If they can't get much of a response this year, their usage will be low. However, looking at the way Windows 8 is designed, most of the features cannot be enabled without a Windows Live account, so next year's consumption may expect to increase significantly, and stay up there. When you lay out infrastructure, you don't plan for the short term, after all.
More than that, his long term plan was to replace the content distribution channels with an alternative model using megaupload. He already had some celebrities lined up, and a promotional video and song done. That's significantly more than just being a fixer.
1. A command line interface for everything the program is supposed to do. 2. A GUI interface that scripts and engages the command line for every button you press Thus the program is forced to adapt to both requirements, and is scriptable as well as having an easy interface. Also helps in debugging.
Coupled with search, I barely have to touch the mouse sometimes. Yes, the focus group appears to be maybe 10 senior managers at Microsoft or something.
You know, remote wipe isn't really a working solution. I've never had a remote wipe that worked successfully. Why? because remote wipe requires connectivity, whereas a stolen device is guaranteed to be switched off and the sim card removed immediately. Then you would have to count on connecting to a wireless network. Without user intervention.
Number 1, for trying to impose american law on the world. That's the act of a school bully making people his bitch because he can beat them up. Number 2, for electing such bullies to be their leaders! I mean, why! I doubt this list would embarrass any country other than the USA, as it exposes the level of bigotry and blindness of their people. Read this comment, then flamebait it to hell. Still not posting anon.
The hunters names were "One", "Two", "Three", "Four", "Hrair", "Hrair", "Hrair", "Hrair", and "Hrair". But only if the monkeys were rabbits. Are you sure you didn't get your anecdote mixed up with a famous story somewhere?
There was this bald monkey coming out, screaming in his monkey language: "There... Are... Four... Hunters!" And then, he died. Apparently a bad day to wear his red shirt.
Myself I wanted to play Little Big Planet, Uncharted, Shadow of the colossus. I wanted one of their sweet MILC cameras, some of the best in the consumer market. I even checked out their walkman wearabes, really good if you're a runner because it's cordless, and really the only player that offers something an ipod can not. Didn't buy any of them, because I remember what it means to buy a sony. I have a rusting VAIO that had a battery die early in its life, yet not too early that I could get it replaced. So suck it, Sony.
If this is true, that the pesticide is so powerful, then bees all over do not stand a chance at all, as we have no means of controlling anything we release into the environment in such small quantities. Here's hoping that bees will develop a resistance to this particular pesticide, as all pests eventually do.
I'd like to know why people use virtual desktops? Increasingly I'm finding that the maximum number of windows I need to shuttle back and forth is 2, so I snap one to the left, and the other to the right, and keep it that way. I never expect my desktop to retain the same layout, and usually don't have difficulty finding the window that I want.
On the other hand, Microsoft makes overtures to small/mid size companies by providing them with cheap software. The caveat? If your business actually grows beyond those limits you have to purchase your licenses all over again, at the regular price.
Have you seen the design of a kinect? An up-down motor that runs once per power cycle and really only needs to be realigned when it is moved to a different position. Sensors 7cm apart that are housed in a 30cm frame of cheap tacky plastic, leading to a much bigger shipping box than necessary.. The kinect should be cheaper and smaller than it is now, what on earth is in all the empty space anyway?
You may hate him for the other things he has done, but letting him go down for something he did that is not clearly illegal is not doing yourself any favors. It sets precedence, and has far-reaching consequences that may end up biting you in the ass.
Frankly a guy only has any chance of getting off at the lowest levels of justice, where the judge actually could be a man of the people. At any higher level the issue is going to be clouded over by vast amounts of corruption and politics.
Why post your financial statements in machine-readable text? Use an image or CAPTCHA anyone?

A smart person can't be smart without interaction with others. Preferably other intelligence. It's called iron sharpening iron.
Over here we buy our licenses in USD. Why the inconsistency?

Siri is similar to Google? I thought you should be comparing it to Wolfram Alpha.

This is so much better than risking your life on the Miami PD... Now where's my Armani Jacket and T-shirt?

Well perhaps the Indians should be considering fighting with drones as an option

Aren't UAVs supposed to be good at all those things? Why keep the U2 around?

Next time don't surrender your alcohol, pour it away then.
